Y! SPORTS

Still cannot believe they didn't challenge this play. Now Harbaugh blamed NBC and Peyton Manning instead of just admitting they messed up.

I don't really agree with that article about Manning not giving the coaches enough time. Did he get the snap off fast, yes, but I have seen coaches throw challenge flags when the offense was moving a lot faster than that. In fact if Manning fooled them it was probably because he wasn't acting like it was going to be challenged.

Unless Tom Brady goes down with an injury, I don't see the Patriots losing to the Bills. If they do, it'd be one of the biggest upsets this year.

This just in..... Peyton woke up this morning, stepped out of bed and threw another TD pass..... He is on pace to throw 112 for the season.

Julius Thomas went undrafted in my Fantasy League for obvious reasons, I was asleep at the wheel on Draft night, as it pertained to TEs, and got Fred Davis in round 10. Two days after the draft I went out and got Julius Thomas and put him on my bench as a backup. Obviously, he was on my bench last night. Come on FRED DAVIS! You better be superhuman Monday night.

Only one I've never heard of was Kapp. TWO of those 7 TD games were against the Skins.

I happened to be reading a Joe Kapp article a couple of days ago. It was really about the Vikings and how they were poised to be the next great team (it was written in 1969) and a big reason was the defense and QB Joe Kapp.

Anyhow, interesting side note on Kapp. He was drafted by the Redskins....in the 18th round (of course, fewer teams back then). He went to the CFL instead

Adrian Burk doesn't ring a bell

Last night: 14 kickoffs, 0 returns. And 104 passes (2012 ave per game: 69.4 passes). Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos were scary good against Baltimore Ravens | The MMQB with Peter King

Denver is stacked with weapons on offense.

The only one I didn't recognize was Burk. The rest I could even tell you a little about their careers. I thought them all pretty famous in their day.

So I looked up Burk - couple cool tidbits from his life after football: He became an NFL referee/official and (1) worked the game in which Kapp tied his record; and (2) was the back judge on the famous Immaculate Reception and was the official to initially signal it a TD.

Y! SPORTS

Wonder how long he's gonna hold out as a QB before trying something else.

Re: Around the NFL-Week 1

I Love Tebow's character but he is done as a QB at the NFL level in my mind. If it was 1942, he would be a star, but in this day and age in the NFL, you have to throw for 60% or better completion as a QB to have success, and he can't do that. Call it mechanics, or reading a Defense or whatever you want. Call him Joe Schmoo or Tim Tebow but his career completion percentage according to profootballreference.com is 47.9%. That is waaaay below average and won't keep you on any team.
