Re: Redskins Cuts
From NFL.COM.
Cuts to 75: OL Jacolby Ashworth, CB Richard Crawford, LB Ricky Elmore, FB Eric Kettani, LB Jeremy Kimbrough, CB Ryan Mouton, K John Potter, WR Chip Reeves, WR Donte' Stallworth, LB Quan Sturdivant, OL Jeremy Trueblood Cuts to 53: DE Chigbo Anunoby, DT Ron Brace, WR Skye Dawson, S DeJon Gomes, DE Dominique Hamilton, RB Jawan Jamison, WR Lance Lewis, C Kevin Matthews, LB Roddrick Muckelroy, OT Xavier Nixon, TE Emmanuel Ogbuehi, OT Tony Pashos, OL Tevita Stevens, RB Keiland Williams, WR Nick Williams I'm shocked WR Lance Lewis didn't make it he seemed to catch almost everything, he ran over defenders, he was fast, and played Special Teams. Hope he makes the Practice Squad. |

Re: Redskins Cuts
Hey SmootSmack, any idea why they caught gomes? Did he never develop into what they wanted to see? I thought with such safety issues that he would be a lock to make the team.

Re: Redskins Cuts
Watched him play his college ball here at ECU. Dude is a baller for real. He was our best playmaker no doubt. Caught most of the passes thrown his way. I hope he makes it to the practice squad as well.

Holding White for trade bait with the extra roster spots we have till the end of week 4.. Doesn't make sense at all.

I like White and he's got some skills, but he's average at best. 3rd stringer. Still, maybe there are some super desperate teams out there.......?

Re: Redskins Cuts
That was just one of many speculations about why White is still here, to be fair.

Everyone said he's limited cause if the defense covers everything within 20yrds his only option is to run with the ball. I see no difference with Grossman. Grossman can't run so his only options are to throw the ball or take the sack. AND... Grossman is not as accurate as beyond 20yrds as everyone would like to believe. It seems to me beyond 20 he just throws the ball up hoping the WR will get to it. |

Grossman I trust to an extent, but like you said, anything over 20 yards is a crap shoot as to where the ball is going to go. There's still 30 minutes left, they still might cut Grossman. ![]()

So how many more players have to be cut - thought it was seven, but what is the deal with the "extra roster spots?" |

Re: Redskins Cuts
Well I'm surprised that Pat White and Briscoe made the roster. I'm surprised that Minnifield didn't.
Other than that, no surprises. But I'd be pissed if Nick Williams gets taken off our practice squad and Pat White is just worthlessly sitting on our roster for 4 weeks.
