If someone is gay, lesbian, transgender, likes transsexuals or whatever, why get upset about it? You have to live your own life and they have to live their own life. As human beings, we have to learn to respect people.
I think this is a great post, although i do think you need to allow for the possibility that someone can disapprove of something, but not feel the need to try to impose his/her opinion on others.

There are things people do that i disapprove of. I'm sure there are things that I do that others disapprove of. But i'm not going to go and tell someone they dont have the right to do something, and i'd expect them to show me the same courtesy.

Re: Gays in the NFL. How Do You Really Feel?

It's their own choice. Choices have consequences. If they just show up to work and don't advertise to get attention for being gay, it won't cause any problems with the team. If they can't keep it on the back burner, they're just asking for issues both in the locker room and on the employment front, not because they're gay specifically, but because they can cause distractions. A lot of teams try to avoid players with personality problems or legal issues because of the affect it could have on the team. Mike Vick is a prime example. Some teams do not want a media circus and a controversial issue splitting the team in half. This is no different.

And before someone decides to accuse me of something I'm NOT saying...I am not equating homosexuality to crime, but the media's attention if a player were to "come out would have absolutely no benefit on the team and would probably have negative effects on the player's career.

I'm sure there are a few gay players, but if they want to just play football without it being an issue or causing them problems, they keep it to themselves. It's the same scenario with gays in the military. In the end, the men will stick together and not care about it when in the heat of battle, but at other times, it can make some men uncomfortable and that slight lapse in focus could be dealy in in war, or in football could just hurt the team.

How so if there are numerous examples of homosexual behavior in the animal world?

Parks 'n Rec is a great show. Also this thread has completely gone off topic from the NFL

I hate that argument. It seems to be equating actual human beings with animals.

Animals will act like animals. If they want sex, they'll take it where they can find it. This is why your dog humps your leg.

I'm not a fan of the choice of homosexuality by any means, but don't degrade them by comparing them to animals who don't have the brain capacity to make decisions like humans, they act on instincts.

You're not going to see flamboyant frogs or crossdressing crocodiles in nature. Many gays do choose to have a different lifestyle in terms of sex, they way they dress, behave, and generally live life. But, unlike the animals you cite, they have the brain capacity to know what they're doing.

I knew that would elicit some type of counter-argument or question. I believe sexual activity is nature's tool meant to do one thing: procreate. So when I saw "nature" that is the context of my statement. But I don't believe anyone/thing is bound by the law of nature to obey this nor do I think anyone/thing is bound by any responsibility to adhere and procreate. Hey...do what you want...doesn't affect me. Like Louie CK says..."it's not like people are gay AT you". I could not care less is people are gay and I DO care greatly that there seems to be a curiously accepted line of thinking that it should be OK for football locker rooms to discriminate. At one point in time, not too long ago, it was "normal" to not want black athletes in the same locker room. Just because it was normal doesn't mean it was right.

Newsflash...we're all animals. Humans may have rational thinking but we're all essentially just trying to survive. Humans just are more able to comfortably survive because of our enhanced intelligence.

I think it's a valid point, how can something be considered unnatural if it's prevelant behavior in nature itself? Relax, I'm not comparing people to animals, I'm just addressing the so called natural aspect of it.

People are animals... in fact in my opinion people are often worst than animals. I know plenty of people that act like "animals" when it comes to sex and will hump anything that moves. People aren't that much better than animals.

What's prevalent is heterosexuality not vice-versa. But it does exist.

Ok, I see what you're saying now. Agree with the rest of your post as well.
