Ouch, everytime Lenny opens his mouth..

"There were times I think [the offense] couldn't handle some of the blitzes that defenses use a lot now," guard Randy Thomas said. Another veteran Washington player noted that the offense "felt overmatched" at times and that Gibbs and the staff were slow to come to grips with the reality that the game had evolved and that the design of an offense from a generation ago was insufficient to cope with the changes."

he's definitely always been anti-Redskins, but so far, he's also been right. this better be the year we prove him wrong, otherwise we'll be here forever, rebuilding yet again.

Re: Ouch, everytime Lenny opens his mouth..

Forget Fatty, he thinks he knows everything. And nothing the Skins do will please him. We tried to do too much last year and it only got worse before it got better. Let me try to explain. New coach, new scheme, new QB, new Redskinette uniforms, etc, etc. Brunell was the new QB and for the first time in forever Jansen was set to be the strong side blocker, which also shifted Samuels’ role. Then JJ goes down and Brunell's blind side is even more vulnerable. Meanwhile, Samules’ is standing around with his hands on hips b/c no one is in his face. THEN, Ramsey comes in and the strong-weak side deal switches yet again.

I think they looked much better assignment-wise and believe the sacks/hurries went down as the season wrapped up, but maybe I was just happy then finished 3-2. (How sad, huh?) Anyway, there is still work to do, but continuity, health and a bit of luck all add up to success. And even though Portis had a good year, the run game didn’t open up the pass like Gibbs, et al are used to. I think the passing game will be fine, even if it means dumping off to Portis and Cooley more than occasionally. Not many teams have those guys as their 4th and 5th choices.

Shotgun to the rescue!!

To me it's not what he says, it's how he says it.

You can almost see him spewing this negativity with a smart-assed smirk on his face.

The guy loves to kick the Skins when they're down. Hopefully he won't have much of a reason to kick us anymore, though I'm sure he'll find something.
