Whatever happened to jamming a guy on the LOS? The TD pass to Amendola at the 1 yard line was a take 3 steps forward and turn around post up move. Easy as pie! Hit em in the mouth and bust up the timing at least!

I think they found a way to take a bad secondary and make it worse. I think Raheem Morris's new placement of the corners has mad them suck more. They need to get Griffin out and put Craford in the slot and move DeAngelo to the outside.

No Deangelo to the outside please. I understand there is a lack of depth and talent all around, but I think D-hall has to remain inside. He looked as lost as ever yesterday when he was outside.

yup - the announcers, and all of us and the whole world were thinking that. Finally in the second half we saw some man but the damage was done. - just horrible mind numbing game plan and lack of adjustments by Haslett - is he just too stubborn to have done something sooner - ?

Actually when we switched to man we still got toasted.

The problem was up front.

The coverage was soft. The ice cream was soft. The coaches are soft therefore, the team is soft.

Yeah well Orakpo was out of the game too than - but the rams damn line was brimming with confidence at that point. That switch needed to be made after Amendolas 37th catch which if I remember correctly was made at approximately 2 minutes and 37 seconds into the first quarter. I may be off by a couple of seconds.

They did slow down Amendola...lol That's about all they did. However, they still had zero pressure up front and you can't expect man coverage to hold but so long.

Lol at the fans wanting Morris to be the DC. Haslett may suck, but Morris was the coach and DC of the worst defense in football. He has made an average defensive backfield into a cesspool of suckage. Oh well, RGIII and the O are running the Shanny system like vintage Elway. Just keep him in one piece, Mike.

I love this crap from "die-hard fans" who think anyone who paid attention to anything other than who the 7th member of the Skins practice squad was is somehow "not a real fan." The NFL is a big deal, Bro. People watch other games, and people watch other teams. I have been telling my idiot homer friends that the Morris hiring was stupid. So was bringing in his best buddy Tanard Jackson to "light up" the secondary. Just because I don't spend my time polishing the poms-poms when the team hasn't been a serious title since the Clinton administration doesn't mean I'm less of a fan.

Re: Kudos to Jim Haslett and Raheem Morris

Woes of Redskins’ secondary are glaring in first three weeks - Washington Times

The defense in general sounds like a disaster at this point. Haslett wasn't just outcoached (by Gruden) on the 1st play, but really the whole game. And then you add comments/concerns from Mike, about Champ Bailey, about creating pressure, and it sounds a little bit like the players (defense) are pretty frustrated with the coaching and the coaches are putting it back on the players.

I think we lack leadership from the coaching staff. In fact I think it's obvious.
