Re: Around the NFL...Training Camp Style
I don't know. In the AFC West it could very well come down to San Diego and Denver. But KC shouldn't be counted out. After all, the Chiefs upset the NFC favorite Green Bay Packers last year.

Re: Around the NFL...Training Camp Style
Not enough defense, and they have holes at the WR/OL spot.

What Osi said is just so stupid it won't motivate RG3, it will just make him laugh at the obviously brain-damaged defensive end.

Re: Around the NFL...Training Camp Style
Serious? Their O-line is one of the better in the league. Top 5 probably.
They have a solid group of linebackers, a good young secondary and two very good DEs. DT is their weak point on D. They've added some nice complimentary WRs to Smith in LaFell, Gettis, Murphy. They're becoming one of the best all-around teams ON PAPER in the league.

Ranking the 2011 Offensive Lines - Part 2 | ProFootballFocus.com Their OL ranked 9th last year, but let's break down a good portion of why they ranked 5th in "Rushing Rank". A good chunk of that rushing yardage came from Newton scrambling. Carolina Panthers 2011 Statistics - Team and Player Stats - ESPN Also, Gross hasn't played up to par since his contract signing, and now they've shipped off Otah. This OL has gotten weaker to be honest with you. Their star MLB is coming off a major injury, and their defensive backs are undesirable to say the least. I'm going on record now and saying they will NOT make the playoffs, never the less be a contending team. I don't think Newton has the stats he does last year either.

PFF grades the individual OL they don't use yardage totals to grade the OL; therefore Cam's rushing doesn't prop up their OL ranking like it QB rushing yards prop up team rushing totals. I don't think they'll make the playoffs and there playoff contention hinges on their defense and special teams which were lousy last year. I think Cam progresses. His rushing might drop a tad but still be signficant and I think his passing stats will improve. |

Re: Around the NFL...Training Camp Style
No, RG3 is probably not paying it any mind. But it was a matter of time before a veteran NFL player was going to take a shot at RG3. I'm glad it was a player from a division rival.
