re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
The series has become a nice combination of RPG and 3rd person shooter and the Kinect voice controls are amazing. Finally yelling at my tv has a purpose.

Mass Effect 3 is amazing. Enough said. First midnight release I've been to in a while where the game actually surpassed expectations.

I thought the multiplayer was just gonna feel tacked on but its freaking fun as hell. Already got 12+ hours into the game via both multiplayer and the single player.

re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
i sold my 360 before i moved. madden 12 is the only madden i didn't buy since madden 02 on ps2. if my campaigns for work remain the similar, i'll be able to play video games while working. that would mean madden 12, then gta 5, and madden 13.

re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
I just bought a copy of the original Resident Evil on E-Bay. Sucks that PSN only sells the dual shock version with the terrible replacement soundtrack. Either way I can't wait to take a trip down memory lane.

re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
Love Mass Effect 3, but I would advise anyone thats held out this long to not buy it until Bioware releases a new, more acceptable batch of endings. Luckily for us Bioware is the type of company that would do that for the fans but until that time comes it's best to make sure they know the fans are serious about this issue concerning the games ending.
Part of that is me asking friends such as yourselves to continue holding out on purchasing the game. News: Mass Effect 3 ending petition raises $30K for charity in 24 hours - ComputerAndVideoGames.com I donated a whopping $7 to the charity which is actually for a good cause, providing kids with terminal illnesses in hospitals a chance to play video games. Retake Mass Effect 3

Furthermore the developers stated time and time again that there would be true and significantly different multiple endings and that the choices the players made would have significant consequences on the final result (theres a whole list on the Bioware forum of quotes from the producers all of which turned out to be virtually outright lies). Turns out the players choices had no impact on the ending and the only real difference in the ending is the color of the explosion. Not to mention a lot of people were robbed of a final boss fight. As for the FTC thing, sure it's going a little to far and hopefully nothing really comes of it but make no mistake the actual reasons cited, false advertising, are entirely valid. So in short it's not that the ending is bad the problem is it serves as virtually the only ending in a game that prides itself on allowing the player to shape the story. The good news for you is even if they change the ending you'll still have the current ending that you enjoyed plus more reasons to play again.

I actually bought Ps1 in 97 when they switched to CD cases so ironically this was the first time I ever had that type of box. I'm now thinking of buying a real ps1 so I can go back and play Final Fantasy with a gameshark
