If the Vikings get the first pick and draft Luck I wonder what they would give us ponder for? I'm not his biggest fan but he's better than what we've got now and have had

The word on Twitter...
"Rick Maese RT @PeteThamelNYT Barkley has told teammates he’s returning. Look for good news for USC fans at 4."

Yep, just heard the same. Barkley's not coming out.

Re: 2012 Draft-QB Prospects (Part III)
Well I don't think he was high on our radar to begin with, but it will impact the top of the draft for sure

Re: 2012 Draft-QB Prospects (Part III)
I think that's a good decision by Matt Barkley, a bad outcome for the Redskins, but a good outcome for the chances of the Redskins getting Matt Barkley (obviously next year) if that makes any sense.
I still think RGIII opts to come out, but I think that if Griffin stays, Landry Jones probably swallows the bullet and comes out as a mid-to-late first round pick, because he'll be looking at an even tougher field next year. Luck, Griffin, Foles, Jones, Cousins, Tannehill is still one of the best QB fields in memory, but its much more of a developmental class (like last year) w/o Barkley.

Only if they are on top of MS' draft board, then I am with you. Honestly, while we need help in other areas, we are in much better shape to bet the farm on a franchise QB coming out in the draft than in previous years.

Remember, by staying, Barkley could be in the same place Luck will be this year. #1, and that will cost a boat load to trade up for, so you really aren't helping yourself by playing the waiting game in that scenario. Which sucks. We would have a much better shot at drafting either one this year, and give up a lot less too I would assume than by waiting and trading up next year. I can't believe he is going to stay after his two stud linemen said already they were going to declare.

If the Rams had the top pick I actually wouldn't be totally surprised if they just took Kalil even though consensus is you've got to take Luck if you have the top pick in the draft. Still, the Rams have been very disappointed in Jason Smith But if they did get the #1 pick, I'd actually be inclined to see what it would take to get Bradford. Because it would be less than it would take to get Luck I'd think
