Iggles may be easier to run the ball against than the Rams. Their safeties and LBs are very poor tacklers...Torain's run style should thrive against those guys.
Torain?
Do we know who our starting RB is next week?

Re: Redskins Bye Week

Wouldn't be surprised to see Torain start this week vs. Philly. We need to punch them in the mouth on the first drive.

Re: Redskins Bye Week

Shanahan is 10-5 after the bye. As this article,What the Results of the Washington Redskins Bye Week Mean | Redskins 101, points out - one of those losses came against Philly last year, but that was right in the midst of turmoil.

This year, with 1 full week to sit down over dinner with Kyle and Haslett, and a pretty stable cast of characters, I expect that MS will have this team prepped and ready for the iggles. I will say that I am glad it is a 1 o'clock game, and that it is at FedEx, and it wouldn't hurt my feelings if Trent Cole is still out, but regardless, I expect the Skins to come out and win it. The only caveat to that is they need to guard against early big plays. The Eagles certainly know how to win once they have a good lead, and they can pin back their defense's ears. Therefore, Haslett NEEDS to understand, like the first meeting last year, make the Eagles go the full distance every team. Make them have to get 1st down after 1st down, to sustain their drives. If we do that, I think we can have a great Sunday!

Bye week plus winning record minus any real drama equals slow WP

Simple math.

this, because as improved as this team is, the one thing the Skins are not currently built for is a big come from behind win. We're not the Pats, Saints, Packers etc, where we can spot a team three scores and come roaring back.

Plus it's a government holiday, so all the WPers that spend the day on here at government work (as opposed to people like me who spend the day on here at private sector work LOL) are missing!

Re: Redskins Bye Week

This stinks of a let-down game -- hope that the Redskins don't buy into the hype and underestimate an Eagles team that is going to approach this like a must-win, playoff type game.

Re: Redskins Bye Week

Yeah the DC Area is dead today, because of the holiday. I went to one of my favorite lunch spots and line/wait was about half. No one on the roads either.

Re: Redskins Bye Week

Five questions facing Redskins as they return from the bye - The Insider - The Washington Post

1.) Can Shanahan & Co. pick up where they left off?
2.) How long can they get by with Rex Grossman at QB?
3.) What happens at running back?
4.) How will LaRon Landry hold up?
5.) Where does Phillip Buchanon fit?

Re: Redskins Bye Week

It's time for revenge. You know Shanahan never expected to be on the end of blowout like they had last year.
Let's run for 450 YARDS and 9 rushing touchdowns against them Sheagles!!!!!!!!!!!

We aren't built to play their game. We need a long hard dose of running and strong defense.
