Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread

A little surprised Rex is starting, don't think it's tooo big of a deal but is a little bit of a deal. Pressure on Beck tonight. I'm excited to see tonight what we got, let's get this things poppin' and show some team effort and some solid hits...no injuries and positive vibes

Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread

i bet rex is starting so he can totally blow it against the ravens awesome defense, and when he does, beck will come on in and wipe up the mess, so to say.........no qb competition after tonight, well, at least it should be secure for beck after this game if rex is rex. i will be the first one to say i am ready and standing eagerly in line to get my heaping serving of crow if beck turns out to be an above average qb in the league. i am actually excited to watch this game tonite. who would have known????!!!!!

Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread

I hope we run the ball down their throats and then hit a couple of 20yd+ passes. This will definitely test our o-line and QB's. Hopefully our DB's step up and show they can do the job. I'll be glad when our starting safeties get back in the lineup.

Doubt it. I'm sure Baltimore has to have some good second stringers.

Isn't it on ESPN nationwide? It's on on the West Coast.

Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread

The starter for the season will be decided from this game.

I hear tell that there's a likelihood Ravens starters will play in the 2nd half of this game as well....

I was hoping shanny would put them both on the field at the same time for the first play. Let them fight between themselves to catch the snap.

Yeah I'm thinking smoot must have pulled some strings to get the only meaningful preseason game nationally televised

Well I am currently pissed as my satellite keeps going out. If this game is on ESPN and I can't even watch it I will be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO pissed. Will it be streaming on ESPN?

Re: Redskins-Ravens: Gameday Thread

I don't like how they will rotate every series.. You cant really get into a rhythm like that. What if we are backed up on our 5 yard line and it's Rex/Beck turn? Then the other QB gets it on the 45 and drives it in for a TD?

LOL.. I don't like the rotation idea. I think you put in Grossman for the 1st two, and then Beck the 2nd two

Per Suzy Kolber, Sexy and Becks will rotate every 2 series to "simulate having to come off the bench cold".

Yeah, I completely agree. Too many variables from drive to drive and more importantly, like you said, it's going to be tough for either of them to get into a rhythm. Its a tough situation all around.
