Why the backlash from the media, fans, and even punishhment from the league and team when someone makes disparaging remarks. Or accusing someone of wrongdoing without real proof.

And his opinion is as worthless as anyone else's. What he says or thinks isn't going to have any impact on our W/L record.

That's why I listen to and watch his shows- the other people that he gets on there. I try to ignore his opinion

If opinions don't matter- how do you measure success? I measure it by meeting or exceeding expectations. Which are really what people THINK you are going to do. And external expectations impact you in a similiar way as internal, maybe more.

In football, I think you measure success by the win/loss record. If the team goes 10-6 or 11-5 and wins the east, that's a success-- regardless of preseason prognosticators, if the go 5-11 or 6-10, that is a failure -- again regardless of preseason prognosticators.

It frustrates me that others see this team as a bottom tier team, when I don't feel that way, but I certainly understand why they do, and in the end don't really care much either way. I just want the Skins to win.

That's why I think that grossmans declaration of winning NFC east was a good move because it got other people to think the opposite of cowherd's opinion. You're given Cowherd waaaay too much credit. What sort of influence do you think he has exactly? If he says he thinks we're going to 2-14 or 14-2, it makes no difference
