As long as the Yankees lose, I'm happy.

It is early but there are definitely some encouraging signs. First, clearly the middle of the batting order is a lot stronger now with Tejada, Lopez and Palmeiro, but more importantly it allows Gibbons, Bigbie and Matos to move down in the lineup where theere is less pressure on them. Gibbons could be a real sleeper, he had 25 homers and 100 RBIs last year with no protection at all. Matos is a superb defensive centerfielder. And yet Bigbie could end up being the best overall player of the three.
What really impressed me this weekend against the Blue Jays was Riley, Ainsworth and Dubose. They're the biggest question mark on the team. If they adjust to the major league game sooner rather than later the O's could do some damage.

The Orioles now have the long ball threat throughout their lineup. Our pitchers are the youngest in the leauge, and Ponson is the only one that had more than ten starts. But they seem to be doing well so far, they should only get better. If they keep scoring all these runs it will definitly help the pitching out!
