Patty had more defenders, always crying and claiming that coaches ruined him, flaunting his grades at Tulane and claiming he was intellectually superior to all QBs. He threw 3 INTs? WRs were at fault. He takes a sack in the end zone? Spurrier's fault. Fumble? Someone else's fault. I wish I were making that up, all truth.

Re: OK guys! 3 more games until the BYE Week.
The Ramsey era was by far the worst around here. As bad as the JC era is/was, when Ramsey was pulled and they put in Brunnel people went ape shit around here. It was so unfair, and we're not giving him a chance, and he's going to go somewhere else and suceed and the franchise would regret it. I've seriously lost track of how many teams he's played for.
Sound familiar? |

Re: OK guys! 3 more games until the BYE Week.
Ramsey and Campbell were alike in a lot of ways. Both were quality guys with an A+ for attitude and effort. Each had (has) serious flaws in their game. The biggest difference in terms of fan reaction/vitriol was that Campbell didn't have a Brunell lurking around. Really, after Brunnell left, was there really anybody to challenge Campbell? (Please don't suggest Collins or Pineapple Jesus).
Each was a good guy with some good physical attributes. For any number of reasons, not the least of which being their own lack of ability, they simply didn't pan out as franchise QB's.

If they had offered him a scholarship, he'd get more exposure than at Turtle State and could have been drafted higher...and less likely to be cut so quickly because of a higher pick being invested in him.

Re: OK guys! 3 more games until the BYE Week.
Be nice if we beat the colts and the other 3 NFC East division teams lose this week.
If the Lions beat the giants,Falcons beat the eagles and Vikings beat the boys and we win...we would have a 1 game lead over the giants,1.5 lead over the eagles and a 3.5 lead over the boys.
