Would they really cry if Ben won another Super Bowl for the city even if he's a girl-hunter and gigantic douche in a wave of moralistic uprightness? The amount of utility the Super Bowl win provides overrides "morality" in most of them because humans in general don't follow through with ethics down to the last logical iota. The incentives are, and they will act on them.

Just wanted to let people know a secret...Most NFL offensive and defensive lineman are fat.

Has a coach called him lazy? The only people that I hear calling him lazy aren't 1-100th of the athlete that he is. In fact it is funny to hear people question the work ethic of someone who is so successful in his profession. I guess they just hand out Pro-bowl selections and DPOY awards.

Thing is, his work ethic has been shoddy for the past year. Meanwhile, Gerald McCoy and Suh are both making noise already.

Scud, did you write this article?

Haynesworth says contract doesn't make him 'slave' - NFL News - FOX Sports on MSN

It couldn't be further from the truth but that is today's media...

Well, AH may have really stepped (further) in it now. The fact that this guy has now made reference to his alleged contractural slavery is absolutely unbelievable. In that one sentence I believe he single handedly ruined whatever hope he may have had of being respected as a human, much less a professional athlete. Whatever the powers-that-be within the Redskins org decide to do in terms of making this douche suffer this season is all right with me. He deserves...nothing.

The article truncates part of the interview. Snyder and Cerrato deserve blame for making promises they couldn't keep. Haynesworth pretty much conveys the idea that he wasn't going to ink the contract without a [verbal] agreement that he was going to be used the way he was in Tennessee, as his comments in context indicates.

D.C. Sports Bog - Haynesworth says there are "zero distractions"

Quote:
"I guess in this world we don't have a lot of people with backbones," he said. "Just because somebody pay you money don't mean they'll make you do whatever they want. I mean, that means everything is for sale. I mean, I'm not for sale. Yeah, I signed the contract and got paid a lot of money, but just because, that don't mean I'm for sale or a slave or whatever. We agreed upon coming to that [contract] that I'd play defensive tackle and not nose guard and all that other stuff. I was signing with a 4-3 team. It was a lot of promises and stuff like that, but now, it's been better, dealing with Haslett, and we run a lot of 4-3 stuff and you'll see that tomorrow."

This guy said nothing, what sentence? The one where he is being honest? Yes it has been dramatic around him, but he has only spoke to the media a handful of times.

So basically he said - you can pay me to do a job but I'm not going to do the job unless we do it my way and I will be paid in advance.
What freakin planet is this guy from?

What bothers me is that you have to listen to the interview before you come to an opinion. Obviously, the author of the AP story has an agenda just like most of the people who write about Haynesworth these days.

Here is what I took from the interview:

- AH was calm the whole time, even making a couple of jokes.

- While he probably should have said it differently, the "slave" quote was not referring to any current feelings toward the organization. He was trying to explain why he was upset with the team in the offseason (that when they were negotiating the team made some promises to him). The last time I checked, you aren't a bad person because you disagree with your employer on an issue.

- He promised that there are no locker room problems and that he has no issues with any teammates.

- He talked about why he used his trainer instead of going to the team offseason workouts.

- He confirmed, when asked, that he purchased TVs for the front office people who work for the Redskins (including equipment folks).

- He has no problems with coaches Shanahan or Haslett.

Basically, no matter what this guy does or says, the media is going to create a story and sensationalize it.

You need to listen to the radio interview. The AP article is garbage.

Re: Redskins and Titans talking trade again on Albert Haynesworth

Thats exactly what he said.......Heres a quite from NFL.com

"I guess in this world we don't have a lot of people with, like, backbones," Haynesworth said. "Just because somebody pay you money don't mean they'll make you do whatever they want or whatever. I mean, does that mean everything is for sale?
