Yeah no. That's not how it works.

If not the NFL, then maybe Sumo (not Summo) is in Banks' future

Actually no team gets a comp pick if some other team signs a guy off the first teams' practice squad. We'd get a comp pick if we let him go in free agency, and he signed with another team, and then had a nice year for them, but unfortunately if we just cut him after the preseason and put him on the practice squad he can be signed by anybody else without any repercussions.

EDIT: I see FRPLG beat me to the punch.

I don't think Roydell makes it. He had one nice catch and did nothing else notable. There are also talks of him missing blocks and assignments, which is not surprising, he hasn't played for the last 2 seasons.

I predict: Moss, Thomas, Galloway, Armstrong, Banks, Kelly.

I was rooting for Terrence Austin, but he hasn't shown a lot and I think Kelly will get on the field and save his spot, even if it's at the bottom of the depth chart. If any of those players drop out, Austin is in. If his knee doesn't improve in the next few weeks, we could put Kelly on the PUP list and keep Austin or Wade, more likely Austin.

I don't think we can cut Banks at this point. He is too valuable for returns.

Roydell and Wade were just warm bodies for camp...with the slight hopes they may do something to make the team. We bring in a ton of WRs like this every year. Roydell couldn't make our team LAST year either.

Re: Brandon Banks

What's sad about ARE's stats, that 102 yards on 17 returns included a 43-yarder...so his other 16 returns were for 59 yards (3.69 yds/ret) and 3 fumbles.

Except for ONE SINGLE RETURN, he was absolutely useless.

Thanks for the clarification.

Re: Brandon Banks

banks is too small to play receiver and i don't think we keep him solely for his return duties.

Re: Brandon Banks

Something else to consider, hopefully the scouting department is eyeing WRs/return specialists playing for others teams right now. If there is better talent available, they may opt to go in that direction.
