I can see him being on the team. Especially if he keeps up making TD's. I'm betting one of the WR's or RB's gets dropped for a roster spot for him. Hell they did the same thing with Rock. He was not used as a RB until the 1st and 2nd went down. Out of all the yrs with the team (what- 8) Rock only played RB 2 times.
They did but this was for practice against the wildcat not for him to used in it. BTW he has never thrown a pass in a competitive football game. His words not mine.

So he really would not fool anyone.

Today's daily double answer. Vinny Sorryato

Exactly. It would be a lot of fun to have a guy like him on the roster. Hopefully we'll be able to make room. It doesn't really matter how small you are if no one can catch you. Just ask Desean Jackson. Problem with Banks is, if all he can do is return punts, it will be tough to keep a spot for him I would think. If we can set up some offensive plays for him, maybe he'll be around.

If Banks starts fumbling, we'll see why. Rock and ARE (mostly) were good about not putting the ball on the ground.

Imagine this guy as a wideout...a 200 lb corner would literally throw him like a little girl off the line...I really dont see why he is wasting a NFL spot...this guy is dead meat...and it's a bit embarrasing to have a guy smaller than a 8th grader on our team...the guy is gunna get killed out there.
I disagree.
Punt returners can take big hits but they aren't that common. Kickoff returners often take bigger hits but they run directly into the kickoff coverage and they don't have the option of fair catching a ball in play. Do you remember Dgreen Dante hall taking any kill shots?

You play the guy in the slot and that solves the problem of him getting off the line.
Even if he was split wide, most corners are going to have to respect his speed and give him some cushion, if not, easy six for us.

His size is not that uncommon. Mark McMillan had a solid 8 year career at corner. That guy had to deal with every single player trying to run him over and he held his own.

I'm not going to start the Brandon Banks Mancrush fanclub but he deserves a shot.

Re: Brandon Banks

If Sproles can survive at RB, someone like Banks can do just fine on returns.

Re: Brandon Banks

I'm confident he'll make the team even if he only plays teams. This is not uncommon folks.

Let's have him race Darrell Green and see who wins.

Re: Brandon Banks

After last nights preseason game against Buffalo, I'm convinced Brandon Banks can make it in the NFL. His size is an advantage rather than a hinderance. He is not only fast and quick but elusive. It's hard to adjust to someone with quickness and speed. His only flaw is dropping punts. If he takes another punt to the house, he would have had more punt returns that ARE, Moss or any other punt returner has had in many seasons. I'm routing for this young man to make the 53 man roster. He won't be the only player under 170 pounds to make it in the NFL. Buffalo's Roscoe Parrish is small and a starting WR for 4 years.

I got one better for you... He raced Chris Johnson twice and beat him twice. The man maybe the fastest man in the NFL.

That's right, I heard that. Still, when Darrell was in his prime he would smoke anyone except maybe Usain Bolt. Hell, he's still faster than a lot of NFL players.

That's right he is. Boy what a game last night and his punt return was just good to see.

He's like a skinnier version of Dante Hall and we know what Dante did in the NFL.
