I don't think they'll have to worry about seeing him on the field very much.

Oh yeah where are all the Redskins are not trading AH fans? You know who you are. You were the ones saying that Shanahan denies shopping AH. That it was all BS and the Skins were keeping AH. You know who you are. This is for you....

Titans, Redskins have talked Haynesworth | ProFootballTalk.com

Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean reports the two teams have had discussions.

So basically Mike Shanahan is full of it. But we knew that. We don't even hold it against him.

According to Wyatt, "If the Redskins are truly done with Haynesworth, and want to unload him for cheap, the Titans are ready and willing to take him back in."

I don't like Cerrato but this is the type of inside info I'd love to hear. He needs to write a book. I mean if he wants to make decent money I'm sure many of us would pick up the book to learn why certain picks were picked and why others were ignored. Maybe even some inside info on how certain players are or acted while with the Skins.

And what does this mean. The source is a nashville reporter and the article is PFT. Discussions could very well mean they called and were told no. There is zero information in this that would indicate anything.

The last link in the AH/PFT story is also funny:
Quote:
A year ago, then-Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin was the subject of trade talks with the Titans. The deal never materialized because the Cardinals didn’t want to give Boldin away for cheap. He was traded to the Ravens this offseason instead.

Before that, the Titans entertained the idea of trading for then-Chargers running back Michael Turner. They also had trade talks in the past about former Lions and Raiders receiver Mike Williams, who eventually joined the Titans after the Raiders released him.
Basically the Titans want to talk to every named player but rarely are willing to pay for them. What could they offer us in return for AH? They say they won't give the 1st rd pick(#16), they don't have a 2nd either, so it would be the 3rd round pick. If Shanahan/Allen did that deal that would be pure unadulterated boneheadedness. But the Titans will talk like they want him, because at that price, they do.

The AH stuff just reeks of Media driven speculation, one article quoting another ad infinitum. Schefter on Sirius today said he had 2 different Redskins source again state that AH isn't going anywhere. He acknowledged that they could be putting up a smoke screen, BUT he didn't think they were.

Either way, the time is getting short and we will all know soon.

This isn't exactly earth shattering news. Haynesworth is a dominant player and has a cheap contract. So the key is "if we want to unload him for cheap". To me that means if we just want to get him out the door for virtually nothing, they will accept him. Duh.

I don't think a second round pick along with another pick is exactly "cheap". If we want to dump him for a low round pick, there will be a lot of teams interested.

I'm not sure that it's media speculation anymore but with a lowball organization like Tennessee I doubt anything happens unless they start coughing up picks for next year. Personally I'm inclined to believe Schefter but it seems logical to me that they won't hesitate to move him.

No it's not earth shattering news. It's been reported by other teams that the Skins have been trying to see what they could get for AH. The Skins top brass deny this. The Eagles said the Skins offered AH as trade for McNabb. The Skins deny looking to trade AH. Even say they are not going to trade him.

Honestly right now I don't know who to believe. I think there is so much deception coming out of the Skins organization it would drive someone crazy. I just hope in the end all this work and lies turn up exactly what they were looking to accomplish.

I would be shocked....shocked.....if Haynesworth isn't dealt by friday. Past the point of no return in my mind, and I think ShanAllen will hope for a 2nd, but will take a 3rd round pick for him and move ahead.

3rd rounders barely take the field around here. I just don't see it.

people have said that it's been reported that we weren't.. why would you call them out for that? the strong opinions have been whether they SHOULD trade him or not

I'm sure that they've talked to several teams.. as they have several other players

Not sure who you are calling out exactly but Adam Schefter yesterday basically stuck to his guns and said the Skins probably won't be trading AH. He said anything could happen and he could be proven wrong, but right now he doesn't think it's going to happen.

The transaction processing plant known as the New York Jets' front office remains open for business with the NFL draft starting Thursday night.

Rich Cimini, for ESPNNewYork.com, writes the Jets are shopping perennial Pro Bowl guard Alan Faneca

CALL NOW AND GET THIS DONE!!!!!!!!!! THEN DRAFT OKUNG AND SIGN ADAMS.

The rumor is that Faneca, with a large salary, will get cut after the draft. We may be able to get him for free (i.e., no trade).
