Hopefully this helps O-line depth, but I'm sorry that we haven't seen Alridge on the field during a regular season game. I can't imagine that Jones will be ready for at least a few weeks, so I agree with the earlier post that Jones should have been signed much earlier in the season.

I would have kept Mason or Alridge.

Running back Quinton Ganther is a downhill runner who packs substantial power in his 5-foot-9 frame. He is versatile enough to contribute as a featured tailback or a fullback. In his first two years with the Titans, he spent the majority of his time on the team’s practice squad (on active roster Sept. 16-30, 2006 and Oct. 20-Nov. 5, 2007). Then, in 2008, he spent his first full season on the club’s 53-man roster, contributing nine carries for 61 yards and six receptions for 43 yards in 13 games. In pre-draft workouts, he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.56 seconds and bench pressed 430 pounds. He was selected with the Titans’ third pick of the seventh round (compensatory selection, 246th overall) in the 2006 NFL Draft.

It just looks like Sherman Lewis is the catalyst for these moves. It's strange that out of nowhere these moves take place after he is announced play caller.

Heyer was horrible on Sunday. I thought he and Vrabel were auditioning for dancing with the stars.

Good signing. Here's to the rebuilding of the OL. Now, we just need June Jones to sign.

If the Packers and Lions both past on him, that is a red flag. I just dont know anymore...I cant trust any move by the FO as long as Vinny is running things.

Well 3 of the guys who started for us last week probably haven't even earned "just a name" status.

True dat. If the Packers are passing on anyone right now, that's a huge red flag.

I would think Sherman Smith had a fair amount of input with the Ganther pickup. As for the Levi Jones pickup, he's can't be any worse than what we have.

Heyer was playing out of position on Sunday. The plays he got beaten on were technique issues. If he's playing where he belongs at RT, those plays don't happen. Any bad plays he made, I blame the coaching staff for.

I think the play with Vrabel was against MW. And he absolutely whiffed on that play. Never put your head down, or that's what happens.

There was talk of bringing in O-lineman before Lewis was named the play caller.

Let's face it they had to do something.

I'm sure Levi Jones wanted to be a starter somewhere, maybe the Lions and Packers didn't guaranteed him that...with Samuels out for the year he pretty much has the starting spot (I hope).

Besides, this is better than going to against the Iggles with Heyer and Williams.

Not that it would have been any better, but I think Runyan would be an upgrade over Levi Jones. Bottom line is they are both old and won't be any better than what we got.
