Re: Zorn: "I'm not worried about my job"
Zorn shouldn't be concerned about losing his job. He's not getting fired during the season.

Re: Zorn: "I'm not worried about my job"
yea we do have the potential to win big over the lions ...
the bucs, while they are not the bucs of old are not a bad team ... and byron lefty isnt a bad Qb either... we'll have to play hard and smart to beat Tampa, point blaNK. as for the lions... pressure the QB with exotic, please!, exotic looking blitzes and crazy schemes ... PLEASE! ... and our D will have a monster day and the offense could blow up also... could be a very good day for the burgandy and gold. if we play a base D and just sit in zones, rookie qb or not ... calvin johnson will rip the DBs with a better overall play-making ability and we will be having a long day. hope that our D doesnt let us down because thats the only way i really see us losing this game.... if Blache is to vanilla. cuz we already know wat 2 expect from zorns offense...

I think this would be a good time to remind you that I have supported your views from day 1.

Re: Zorn: "I'm not worried about my job"
I don't see Zorn getting fired unless and until we are eliminated from playoff contention.

Re: Zorn: "I'm not worried about my job"
Sonny really pissed off Zorn
"Third down, I'm the quarterback, and you call the halfback throwing the ball for me, I'm calling timeout or calling an audible," Jurgensen said. "I'm not letting the halfback throw it. That's what you pay me for." "Well, then, I would have to take you out of the game," Zorn countered. "As soon as you called timeout, I'd say what's wrong with my play, because...." "It didn't work!" Jurgensen interrupted. There was a long pause. "No, but I called it to work. All right?" Zorn said. "We called it to work. It didn't work. There were a lot of plays out there that didn't work. And I'd take you out of the game. Sorry, Sonny." sonny's smarter than zorn and zorn should b takin his advice |

Re: Zorn: "I'm not worried about my job"
I have figured out with the help of my brother the one question I wish would have been asked at the Monday Zorn press conference.
"Hey coach it seems you are very serious about attention to detail in the way you approach your job. If a young player doesn't pay attention to detail he doesn't play. Trust seems to be a big issue with regards to detail. That being said coach you almost called a timeout in the final minutes at the begining of the play clock when you were in fact trying to run out the clock....would you say that you were not paying attention to a major detail in clock management when you made that mistake and if so how do you think this lesson might influence the way you coach with regards to details?" Re: Zorn: "I'm not worried about my job"
As much as I'll listen to anyone who talks trash about Zorn's playcalling this week I still say that people are blowing the Sonny interview out of proportion. If anything is was nothing more then a slight disagreement with amusing banter sprinkled in between.

Re: Zorn: "I'm not worried about my job"
Did you hear it or just read the transcript? They sounded pissed at each other, like Sonny was implying that the halfback pass was a terrible call and like Zorn was shocked that anyone would question him. It sounded worse than "a slight disagreement with amusing banter sprinkled in between".
