I thinK JC is an inadequate QB but it wouldnt matter who the QB is, the O line wont let them succeed.

What's he gonna say? I'm stuck with a bunch of losers. I dont think so and if he did say the truth the fans and media would go nuts about throwing players under the bus.

What amazes me is how the Skins sum isnt greater than its parts.

We will be worsethan A 500 team. This team is really bad trouble and they don't know where to turn to to fix the problem.

Most of the time the G-Men had pressure, I felt it was during a blitz- too many men for the line to handle.

The line seemed to hold up when they were matched up man-to-man. Campbell didn't look too dinged up to me- clean jersey and all.

Its hard to get a dirty jersey on artificial turf.

I think thAT could also go the other way. Are the players going to tell everyone they are stuck with a dumb ass loser coach?

So you're saying Campbell was getting pulverized then? And yes, you can still get dirty on astroturf.

You're looking for holes in the wrong places.

That was just a bad performance.

What happened to the vertical threat?
Why does Portis look so slow?
Why does Santana look so slow?
Why is the red zone offense still a joke?

I'm glad I am sober. That was a major buzzkill.

Re: Redskins vs. Giants Gameday thread, Opener 2009

You know there was too much stuff that went wrong to pinpoint one area as the thing that killed us today. We had no business being there in the end down by a touchdown. And it's amazing how we play all lackadaisical up until there's like 3 minutes left in the fourth and we're down by 2 td's. It's like we have to wait all game just for the light to suddenly turn on when it's too late to come back. I'm just gonna put this one down as a fail all around.

Personally I want to know wth happened to all that supposed "progress" we made in the preseason. Campbell didn't play anything like he did during the final two preseason games, once again our young guys (Davis, Thomas and Kelly) didn't show up, and so far DeAngelo Hall looks overmatched and definitely not worth that 56 mil contract out there.

The problem is JC does not know how to use the pocket so then the line look bad. When the line pushes the D line around him he rolls out when they push the D line in he runs up. Last nighht they showed some highlights from last years G game and the couple sacks they showed was all on JC. Lets face the fact he is not and NFL starter. Eli made him look like he was still in high school.

Thats what Portis did last season and got away with it because he (and all the players) knows they answer to Snyder not the head coach. Until that changes this team will be the same old losers we are used to seeing.

Re: Redskins vs. Giants Gameday thread, Opener 2009

The O-Line was MUCH IMPROVED. Sweet Jesus. He had lots of time compared to last season. They created plenty of pockets for Jason to step up into. That fumbel returned for a touchdown is one. Now, the running holes weren't much today, but Portis to rip off a couple long ones.

I just feel like its the same old story: the defense is on the field way too long. Now that 2 minute drill really looked better and improved. But, the Giants are a good team, and hell, this is a much better performance against the giants than the last 2 meetings last year.
