Re: Randle El still useful?
God, how bad a returner do you have to be to be 54th in a 32 team league. I still like him. Just let him stick to the slot. He will have a great year there.

Re: Randle El still useful?
Your crazy if you think he was a better runner then Vick in college. He was very good but no where near Vick as a better QB.

Re: Randle El still useful?
I would go with mitchell we certainly need some height at wr which we finally seem 2 be getting. now if Vinnie would just get his head out of danny's hind parts long enough to realize we still need some depth on the O Line

That being said, I'm not sure ARE will produce that much more even at slot. Last edited by 12thMan; 09-01-2009 at 07:28 PM. |

Re: Randle El still useful?
ARE wont beat out Kelly. I'm not sure about salary cap stuff but I get the impression that his cap number is too high to let him go which is good for him because I think he could be gone if he wasnt too expensive to cut.

Re: Randle El still useful?
Randle brings experience to the table. He is useful he can be that " wildcat" quarterback, How ever his role in the offense is not as profound as it once was i think he might be on his way out soon. Kelly having a good season would solidify it.

Re: Randle El still useful?
I think Moss should be playing in the slot ideally. We just don't have the personnel to make that happen.

Re: Randle El still useful?
My beef with ARE was the frigging $$$$$$$$$ You pay a guy that amount of chump change and you better produce. Albert Connell was more exciting than ARE.

Re: Randle El still useful?
great slot reciever, great threat in a wildcat formation, which we "wont run" .... leader on and off the field and really does have a good set of hands... he's dangerous
i wouldnt cut him or trade him.

Re: Randle El still useful?
Judging by his results over the past three seasons, I don't see how anyone can label him "dangerous". Even with a career high in receptions last year, he didn't make us a potent offense.

Re: Randle El still useful?
Can't be mad at ARE for the contract he signed. Blame for front office for that.

Re: Randle El still useful?
Like it or not (most of us don't), until one of these young bucks actually makes plays in regular season games, ARE is the 2nd best wr on the team. To talk about cutting him, even if feasible w/the cap, is a bit of an overeaction. Especially talking about Mitchell. I like the guy too, but let's see the guy make the roster first.
