Re: Dre Bly Released
We only look into Bly if these things happen.
A) We do not Re-sign Hall B) If we release Springs C) If Rogers demands a trade or becomes a locker room problem The last two scenarios are "if", so if either one of these things happen, thats the only time I could see us signing Bly. |

Re: Dre Bly Released
we might not have a choice. Aso's contract almost ensures Hall will sign elsewhere so we're left with keeping Springs at 8.5M and drafting a corner in the 1st round this year OR signing Bly to something around 5M/year.

Re: Dre Bly Released
I would say sign Bly, the offensive line is a bigger priority.

Re: Dre Bly Released
Of course this was a guy that Cerrato targeted. Can't even stay on a team. Go figure. The writing is on the wall. Cerrato blows.

Re: Dre Bly Released
Denver is changing their defense schemes with the new coaching staff, plus I'm pretty sure Dre Bly has a pretty big cap number. Guys get released all the time. It doesn't always mean they suck.

Re: Dre Bly Released
Now we're bashing for moves that weren't even made. Brilliant.

... also i still think if Hall has any sense about him he'll stay because we've got the locker room mentality he needs. We've got tremendous leadership that doesn't allow the drama bullshit to get out of control and here Hall doesn't have to try to be the leader he's not. He can just be an awesome corner and leave it at the door.
