That's a fair take. I just think a wobbly coach is always going to have trouble there, much for the same reasons Turner got shortcircuited here. You need someone to stand up to Jones and Wade has proven himself incapable of doing that.

It is interesting that this culture of accountability that Gibbs installed seems to have survived a regime change, whereas all hell has broken lose down in Dallas.

I dont know if you need someone to stand up to jones as much as you need someone that jones respects..youve got to give the man credit he has one of the most profitable franchises in the world...plus he has championships..its obvious he doesnt respect wade and he respected parcells..

I've always believed that Parcells is great at turning around struggling teams, but not maintaining good ones. He sees an opportunity to overhaul a struggling team or one that is missing a few major components and has them in the playoffs in a year or two. Then he "retires" to await another project. His is the quick-fix and gone. Gibbs changed the culture and mindset of Snyder and the team.

probably because 85% of gibbs staff is still under contract, and close to 80% of his players too.

Just curious, do you attribute that to Snyder, Gibbs, or some other reason? I am sure that the cowboys still have a high percentage of Parcells players.
I think the different dynamic of both teams has always been interesting. for example: when they had Tom Landry (the stoic), we had George Allen, (a little emotional).
