I didn't get to see this game because I was at Reggae on the River, but I didn't need too. I saw Colt do it up all last year at home. I always said it was his accuracy which is bomb. He's making the state of Hawaii proud. Glad to see more possitive comments from this site about Brennen, than all the usual colt bashing.

honestly i don't want to waste playing time on devine at all right now. he has no shot, just cut him and give brennan or collins more playing time to learn this thing.

if brennan can play like that against a 1st string unit, i'd gladly welcome him as our #2, but while he was definitely impressive, I don't think he'd do quite as well with freeney and a certain safety playing against him. No reason not to give him a chance or more playing time though.
Yeah Collins sucked last preseason. But he also was running Al Saunders offense. He wont have that luxury this year. He is learning it for the first time like everyone else. He might need to step his game up or Colt might have the number two spot right now Collins only has a slight edge because of last years performance. But this is the what have you done lately league. He has looked horrible in the first two preseason games. Plus he was playing against second and third string guys..He sould have been able to pick them apart..

Did you not see Colt's game against the Colt's? He was 4 of 8 for like 60 yards with a passer rating of around 63 and that's when he got the chance to play against 2nd stringers instead of scrubs. Collins was 5 of 6 and 8 of 11 in his two starts and he has one TD and one int. Sorry but Colt is not even close at this point of grabbing the 2nd string job. Yes, he had a fast start in the first game but as Zorn said he was very luck on a few of those pass and still has allot to learn.

You must mean buffalo? I thought he did okay, considering the majority were running plays. take away the 2 dropped passes and it wouldnt be too bad. I agree though, he has a lot to learn

I'm not doubting that Colt has a lot to learn, but you can't doubt the fact that the talent is there. He has the talent and the drive to be good in this league IMO. Give Brennan some time to learn and he has the skill sets to be great.

I don't think anyone is doubting that, but some people are ready to annoint him the starting QB (which is ridiculous). I think Brennan is a good asset that this team has, and he'll develop into a solid backup. But it's going to be a while before Brennan sees any action as a starter. If he does play as a starter this season, then I think it is not going to be a good situation for our team.

Yes I did mean Buffalo. I like the fact that we have the guy on our team and who knows how this will develop lets just not go over board after having one good and one decent game.

For all those Colt fans he is fourth in the line up Sat night so he should be able to put up some decent numbers again.

The other argument here is this: Buffalo and Indy build their depth very differently. Buffalo's defensive second team -- many of them have starting experience, and the rest are highly touted picks who have yet to make it into the starting lineup for whatever reason, whereas the Indy second and third teamers tend to be a lot of undrafted rookies right out of conferences like the WAC -- basically the competition Brennan has been playing his whole collegiate career.

By this time next year, I would expect Brennan to be carving up second teamers across the league. Right now though, he's probably a bit over his head against Buffalo.

He should have much more success tonight.

I like Colt's old sidearm and his precision, but I still think he is at least a year away from getting #2 on the team. He's got the talent, he's just too young and has to learn some of the tools of the trade. Also, why are they keeping the fourth QB(Devine, or something)? He's not very good and he's very inexpeirenced. I don't see much potential for him, either.
