Re: Thank You Sean Taylor Thread...
This happened way to fast,
but I want to thank Taylor for inspiring me to play safety, if it wasn't for Sean I would be playing running back right now. I also want to thank Sean for being such a huge help to this Skins D over the last few years and for all those great hits. RIP ST. |

Re: Thank You Sean Taylor Thread...
After I discovered the news about Sean yesterday, he was on my mind all time.. Until I got the news that he woke up and squeezed doctor's hand; I finally was able to relax and go to sleep.. I assumed that it was good news.. Until I woke up this morning and turned on the ESPN and saw the news.. I was devastated and could not believe it so I went on this forum and realized that it is true. I later saw this thread but I could not think of words that I want to express so I waited until I am able to recollect all my thoughts and everything..
What can I say? I am absolutely stunned by this, I just never thought I would feel something like this especially for someone who I never even met.. The year I started to have interest in football and became a DIE HARD Redskins fan was the same year Sean Taylor came into NFL.. And he immediately became my favorite player of NFL, he has earned my respect (to make myself understandably - not many people are able to earn my respect).. In some way, from what I have read about him - I understood him.. In several ways, I am like him.. I was truly glad to see him flourished into possibly most best safety in NFL this year and I told myself earlier in several games ago, "He is probably already best safety in NFL and yet he is not even in his prime yet.. I just cannot wait to see him in his prime years." And now the thought of not seeing him on the field anymore, just kills me.. I always told people that I am truly glad that Sean is a Redskins - I could not imagine Redskins defense without Sean.. But now I am forced to imagine and see Redskins defense without Sean.. Sean gave us plenty of memories to remember, I could not name all of them but trust me - there are plenty of it in my mind.. He always bring a smile to my face every game, I always chuckle when I see him talking trash to TO or Randy Moss or any other players and say, "that is my boy.." People who had the chance to meet Sean - especially the one boy who is in college now explained his story in another thread when he and his female friends met Sean in Redskins Park are very lucky.. I planned to meet Sean someday in training camp or wherever to shake his hand and thank him.. But now knowing that I will never have that chance, it just destroys my heart.. Sean's family and friends are also very lucky to have a chance to get to know him.. Today after reading hundreds of posts and articles about Sean; I decided to drive to another town and go to Redskins store but I discovered that they stopped selling Sean's jersey but will resume selling this saturday.. I vow to buy Sean's jersey and wear it every game this year.. After the season, I will frame it and put it in my bedroom along with his poster.. Thank you Sean Taylor, for bringing a smile to my face and giving me plenty of memories to think of when it comes to Redskins history.. Ryan Turner |

Thank you Sean Taylor. Thank you for coming to the Skins and giving us hope. Thank you for striking fear in every receiver who even thought about crossing the middle. Thank you for your enthusiasm and for all the moments you had us wincing as you leveled someone. Thanks for playing the game the way it should be played.

Re: Thank You Sean Taylor Thread...
ST was simply MR Redskin, and the hardest hitter I have seen on the team since following the the Skins since Gibbs I. Always gave 110%, always a gamer. He could have been the best S there ever was if he didn't meet such a tragic end.
