Joe Bugel is living on reputation - and most of that rputaton was built when Bobby Beathard managed to hand him an offensive line with three players on it who should be considered for the Hall of Fame - - if the Hall of Fame actually inducted offensive linemen.

Al Saunders came here with flourish and fanfare and has delivered - - oatmeal. And don't tell me he doesn't have the personnel because his offense worked in KC with Trent Green and the Three Stooges playing wide receiver.

Whose job is it to take whatever DL happen to be on the team and to teach them how to make the most of their talents? That coach has been mailing it in for the last 2 years. The DL is mediocre and only one of them has shown any real improvement in 2 seasons. [Montgomery].

Oh, and whoever is the genius upstairs who recommends to Joe Gibbs when to challenge and when not to challenge refs calls needs a seeing eye dog.

These guys are not boobs; but they are not outstanding either despite the PR splash that accompanies them any time they sign a deal with the team.
I think they're a fantastic group of coaches, but they're bumping into each other. Gibbs needs to either get out of Saunders' way, or just get rid of Saunders.

A win will mean 6-4 and in solid shape for the playoff picture.

A loss means 5-5 and the playoffs starting to slip away.

Perhaps, but I don't see how the game could be viewed as a success in any way, shape, or form. The middle/intermediate zone was gashed all day long, and Gregg Willaims did nothing to try to contain it. And the Patriots' execution was so perfect that they were turning four yard checkdowns into 8-10 yard plays.

And unsuccessful blitzing would have been a disaster, but the only times in recent years that I've seen Brady show some weakness has been when he's gotten smacked around a little bit. I just don't see how giving him 3-5 seconds to get rid of the ball on every single pass play was the best option.

Re: What Will A Win Mean? What Will A Loss Mean?

A loss eliminates the last flickering hope of winning the NFC East. It reduces the Skins to pursuing the #6 seed (last wildcard), and it makes the game in Tampa next week a virtual must win given the tiebreaker ramifications.

A win means that we can still dream of catching the Cowboys for the NFC East lead with a little help. It would move us one step closer to the 9 or 10 wins that we'll need to ensure at least a wildcard.

Taking care of business in the more winnable games (TB, Chicago, Buffalo, Minn) is a more realistic path for this team to squeak into the post-season.

If we win, it is because we stepped it up big time and Dallas played a poor game. It kills me to say that, but they are simply a much better team than we are right now. If we lose, "the cockroaches" will come out of their dark shelters to blast Gibbs, Saunders, and Williams for losing a game we all knew we would lose regardless of the playcalling.

If we lose, which we almost certainly will, I will have to take a little vacation from this site. I will not be able to read half the things that people utter. I would rather see those people follow the Cowboys.

If we win, we win
If we lose, we lose
If he dies, he dies

(read all this with a thick Russian accent)

Seriously though, Matty probably put it best. We don't need this win, but it would certainly help...a lot.

Nice. I try to work in Dolph Lundgren quotes, but it seems like no one has even seen Red Scorpion.
