Coach Danny Smith, the Redskins Special Teams coach flipped off the oposing teams bench or players on the field. Hard for me to tell exactly who he was directing it at seeing that I was on the 50 near the top of that terrible stadium. But it does not really matter to me who it was directed at the whole thought of a well respected coaching staff having a member offering obsence gestures is beyond reasonning.

Do I need to elaborate anymore for you to understand this?

Yeah I knew it was you. Since no one else saw it. If the league, or coach Gibbs hasen't done anything about yet, then I think it's a dead issue. You're kind of overreacting if you ask me. I think we have bigger things to worry about.

Also, no offense but the guys on the radio were kinda confused about why you were making a big deal out of it. It jut seems like your taking this way too far.

I saw what I saw. In fact it was also on the post game radio station in Cleveland, and they were quite disgusted to. It is a dead issue and there are more important things I agree but I was pointing out a situation that occured that I thought was not cool. Guys on this site asked me what happened, so I explained. Also if the so called experts on the radio thought this was not a big deal then that is their choice. I think it speaks volumes about the so called character the Gibbs teams surrond themselves with. Example - If you are at work and a coworker flips off another person in front of many others, would that person still have a job today or would he/she be reprimanded? You can doubt if I saw it, but why would I even then bother stating it. I saw him do it and I personally think it is classless, don't you at least agree to that?

the bird isn't a big deal to me, i don't know anyone who's been fired for it... i could really care less, and one lax moment (which didn't hurt anyone) seems like a silly thing to fire someone over...

Didn't he only say the S word?

Either way, anyone who drives the beltway sees worse every day. Maybe that's why people in DC don't care one bit.

The fine is one thing, but to get docked 25 points and lose first place in the NASCAR standings. That's just absurd

I understand what you are getting at CRT3 and it isn't very professional of Smith, but if I and the world can live with Pete Webber(only bowling fan will probably know of whom I speak of) doing crotch chops on tv, I think flipping someone off isn't a big enough of a lapse in judgement to require Smith being fired (his coaching of the special teams on the other hand...) Plus we all probably flip off someone while driving atleast every couple days or is that just me?

I personally like the guy flipping the bird. I would have liked it even more had he battered some Browns.

I also like Gibbs' class-act. It all depends on the situation.

I defer to Greg Williams. Williams liked Danny Smith a lot, Gibbs seemed to (otherwise he wouldn't have hired the guy). Smith deserves some crap for kick return coverage, but punt return coverage has been quite good and our returns haven't been bad.

I dont really care what people do. I'm glad to see that they are into the game. They can pop off anything that isnt racist or predjuidce and it wouldnt bother me.

Do you take your kids to the game? Or do you flip off people in front of kids? My point is there is a time and place for this. I personally do not have a problem telling someone he is a asshole or flipping them off, for christ sake I am in the fod business and I have seen a few verbal spars in the kitchen. I do not have virgin ears nor a virgin mouth. But to do this in front of many people is wrong. I at least respect those who do not like cussing and swearing.

So if you guys don't seem to understand that this is wrong then F off (ha, ha)

I understand your point CRT3 and I agree that it's classless. But sometimes emotions can takeover someones judgement and cause them to do stupid things. But my point is, is that Gibbs hasn't said anything and neither has the league, so let's move on and concentrate on winning a damn game!
