We dont need Duckett we have Blaylock and T. Collins. both could be stars as they both know Saunders offense...

I don't think Blaylock is in the same category as Collins in terms of general crapulence.

The thing that concerns me along with the fact he's old and looking for a payday is he's been banged up 2 of the last 3 years. His best days are clearly far behind him.

Hmm, Ok. Leading active sacker in the NFL, and most sacks in a season wow that New Yrk Press knows how to creat.

Regardless he is on the way down, outside of 2003 he has barely cracked the top 10 In the NFC since 2002. Last 3 years he has not been in the top 5 in the NFC and he will want TOP 5 MONEY and CONTRACT. Again not a good investment as the ROI more than likely will not be good.

This guy has been a pain in the arse for the Redskins for over a decade. If we could get him in here at a resonable price he would be worth it for the two games vs the Giants alone. He is a very vocal leader who could inspire our team the way the Lavar did last year.

If we could make this happen for the right financials then it would be a no brainer... Strahan has enough in the tank to rotate in at DE and stay fresh this season. Plus it would be worth it to see the look on Giants fans when he dons the burgandy and Gold.

You are right but I would bring in alot of players for the right financials... shoot we would have bomb team if we could get the right financials. But a big part of his holdout is financial the guy is looking to make 4-5 mill this year with a contract extension. He may be a decent player this year stay with his recent trend of 7-10 sacks, but is it worth it to pay him that much for that? He also wants an extension, and is threatening retirement. I dont want that kind of guy, like has been stated he is looking for one last payday and once he gets it, he is done. he will collect his money and be another role player counting his benjamins....

No interest at all in Straham. If they were going to sign an aging DE why didn't they look into S. Rice? Rice is younger and more available because he was already cut. Don't misunderstand me...I don't want either of them. Some said in a previous post that they need to look into a back-up for Betts? They already have that guy in D. Blaylock who if you recall, was a stud back up for the Chiefs (Holmes) under Big Al. No more signing of useless players please!

We don't need an old, often injured, past his prime DE looking to get paid cause his ex-wife took his ass to the cleaners.

The article said that we received sub par scouting reports on Rice and did not entertain the idea of bringing him to Redskins park.

WHAT?
The man has the all time single season sack record...he is the current leader in sacks for those still playing.
While I do think New York players get a lot of attention, Strahan, whether in Seattle or Green Bay would get the same amount.

That being said, we'd be dumb to sign him. He hasn't really been the same since he had 18.5 sacks in 03...in 04 he got injured (forgot what he injured) and has only had 18.5 sacks in 04, 05, and 06 COMBINED. (33 games).
He's old, and any player that has played his entire career (14 seasons not including this year) with one team and wants to leave at the last minute doesn't care about the team he is going to. He cares about himself.
No thanks.

Thank you. Dude had 22.5 sacks in 2001. He was definitely a stud. Not so much, anymore. I don't really see Gibbs getting on board with this -- no matter how much Danny wants him.
