4) Do you know Mike Vick personally? How do you know he's a good person? Has he ever flipped you off? Has he ever knowingly given you an STD?
5) What has Vick done in the NFL that would make you want him on the Redskins? I'd rather not have a QB with that low of a completion percentage, even if he is fast.

I could go on but you've given me a headache.
Furthermore, what are poddles? And I don't recall these dogs volunteering to be starved so their "hungrier" come fight time, or have shards of glass rubbed in their fur, or even agree to these fights anyway.

And I don't know of any NFL players that are shot after they lose, or electrocuted, or have their neck snapped. And so on.

I need some Excedrin

Brian Mitchell is currently on 680 The Fan here in Atlanta answering a few questions about Clinton Portis’ comments re: Michael Vick and dog fighting. Even Brian says that Clinton “…didn’t know what the hell he was talking about.”

Yeah, obviously. He probably just pictured Vick and a buddy or two getting together over a BBQ and watching their dogs wrestle. I'm sure Portis has enough of a sense of right and wrong to not support Vick if he knew the details we all learned in the indictment. He SHOULD'VE kept his mouth shut when he made the comments, but I doubt he actually knew anything that was going on and still supported it.

It was a dumb moment and we need to let it go. Now if he comes out in the FUTURE and defends Vick's actions, he has serious problems upstairs and I'd lose a lot of respect for him. I hope this doesn't happen.

What Portis was supporting was Vick's right to do as he pleases with his own property.. meaning if he wants to give it over to his relatives then it wasn't his fault if criminal activity took place (without Vick's knowing). I highly doubt he (portis) knew what was really going on....

I haven't been around recently, but that's the funniest video I've seen in a while.

Does anyone else find it odd that a former KKK "chapter leader" is decrying dogfighting as barbaric?

i find it odd that KKK members can be elected to Congress.

"Be sure you avoid the Ku Klux Klan. Don't get that albatross around your neck. Once you've made that mistake, you inhibit your operations in the political arena."[

YEp that is the number one reason for not joining the KKK.

" Byrd explained that he was a member because he "was sorely afflicted with tunnel vision—a jejune and immature outlook—seeing only what I wanted to see because I thought the Klan could provide an outlet for my talents and ambitions."[8] Byrd also said, in 2005, "I know now I was wrong. Intolerance had no place in America. I apologized a thousand times ... and I don't mind apologizing over and over again. I can't erase what happened.""[

To be fair, those comments are a bit more apologetic

UFC two people make an informed decision to fight
Football people weigh the risk and pu on a uniform
Bullfihting is illegal here as well as dog fighting and I cannot believe people
still go to bull fights atleast sometimes the bulls get revenge
Cock fighting is illegal in all states if I'm correct
Horse racing the object is not to kill or injure other horses I can see how
some think it is cruel.
War I won't get into that

If you love dogs there is no way you can still believe Vick is a good person. I gave hm a by on given that girl what they say he did because there is know way to know if she knew ahead of time and just framed Vick to make some $. The water bottle we will never know the real truth so I did not judge him on that but only it was dumb to try and carry that onto a plaine. Shooting people the finger was wrong but stuff like that happens so I did not make a big deal of it. Dog fighting and what was done to these dogs is another story and I will not say he is guilty until the courts have decided but it looks really bad for him and what he did. He put himself in this position snd diserves what he is getting. By the way are you related to him and/or on his payroll?

Of course some people think that. Some people still get sexually aroused at the thought of the Florida State blow-out a few years ago in the Sugar Bowl. Some people are STILL thinking he's going to be the best player ever in football. I'm smack in the middle between UVa and VT and as soon as Vick had that good season, you wouldn't believe the hype that VT football got. They are my team as well, but the people jumping on the bandwagon was INSANE.

There are people who will blindly follow anything Michael Vick does regardless of how crappy he has played in the past. "The most exciting player in the NFL." My ass. You want exciting, watch LT.

I agree, from a pure football fan standpoint I LOVE watching LT run the ball. He's got some crazy moves and outstanding vision, and of course enough speed and power to make him a complete package.

I'm amazed that there are people out there defending Vick. Absolutely amazed.
