Re: Your 2007 Redskins guarantee
Brud, that reminds me. You've had all offseason to work on a Power Poll, where is it?!
If you don't have one, it's been like bad sex without the payoff. And THAT makes me cranky.

Re: Your 2007 Redskins guarantee
Nah, with a strong running game and an improved D he won't have to do it all by himself.

Re: Your 2007 Redskins guarantee
JC will scramble for 200 yards. Throw for 25 Tds and 10 Picks
Portis and Betts will run for 2200 yards. Cooley won't make the Pro Bowl Again. Sean Taylor, Santana Moss, and Marcus Washington will. Defense will rank in the Top 10 again. Top 10 in Take Aways. We will go to the playoffs.

The running game will be stronger if CP can stay healthy but I'm not sure about the improved D. |

Re: Your 2007 Redskins guarantee
I'll give you two reasons. Subtract one Adam Archuleta. Subtract one Warrick Holdman.

Re: Your 2007 Redskins guarantee
The D has some key changes. I think there's plenty of reasons to expect that they will improve.
Exit Marshall, enter Fletcher at MLB, that alone should be a nice improvement. Rocky steps in at one LB spot, Springs is hopefully healthy, we have improved depth at CB with Smoot and Macklin. Landry should step in right away and help to solidify the strong safety spot. Griffin should be healthy, Golston and Montgomery have a season under their belts, and GW has revamped his schemes and is going to turn the defensive lineman loose. I just don't see a Gregg Williams defense in the tank for 2 straight seasons. He'll get it turned around. |

Re: Your 2007 Redskins guarantee
If the reason for last years poor D is because of 2 players then this team needs a new d coordinator. I think last years bad D was due to the personell and scheme not matching up well. Hopefully the coaches can do a better job of putting this D (and the team as a whole) in a better position to win.

Re: Your 2007 Redskins guarantee
Classic addition by subtraction. Doesn't hurt to also add a surefire tackling machine like Fletcher-Baker, either.

Would you also argue that had Springs been healthy and Rocky started the whole season we wouldn't have been better? By your argument, teams shouldn't trade specific players, they should just trade whole defenses since it's all about scheme.

Re: Your 2007 Redskins guarantee
Totally agree. I bet he is the biggest addition to our defense we have this year. Either him or Landry.
