Fair enough. As for the WR situation, I've brought this up in other threads about CJ, when you look at the best receivers in the league (Boldin, Chad Johnson, Harrison, Steve Smith, Andre Johnson) how many actually make their team better? I mean to get someone like Calvin Johnson would be exciting but does it make our team better? The last two games of the year it didn't look like we had any trouble putting points on the board. And if Saunders could score points with guys like Boeritger and Kennison at WR, why couldn't he with Moss and El?

I think without a true stud at WR, you can have a good year, but not sustain it... Like I said earlier, we need someone with Westbrook's talent and build, but with a heart of a player.

I agree, and I think thats well documented by now.

Good post, as usual.

The league is built on speed now, you no longer need the biggest guy in the world to catch. They call Pass interference alot more due to the rule changes a couple years back.

You just need fast receivers like Smith that can create space. I am not saying CJ will be bad, but we might be fine with what we have.

Re: Be Bold 4/15/07

As long as we still have Cooley why do we need another Possession type of receiver?

No idea we are solid with Moss, El and Lloyd. Hell we dont even need Lloyd, Thrash is good enough. With Cooley and Betts as solid options for dumpoffs, our pass should look good.

I am only worried about our D.

I agree, Moss has game breaking abilities. Once he and JC get on the same page I think he'll get back to his 2005 form and put up some big numbers.

Re: Be Bold 4/15/07

In addition, Moss was hurt a majority of the year. What worries me is that this was his knock coming FROM the Jets. If he stays healthy, I feel more than confident he puts up 1200+ yards receiving.

As I said earlier.... Moss is Gary Clark... a quality WR who should be in the conversation for Canton.... but Gary Clark would not have been as great as he was without Art Monk making the DB's shake.

My fantasy (keeper) league on NFL.com loves your analysis.

With my prediction of an 8-8 record, I'm the definition of the overly cautious prognosticator.
