Re: Skins sign CB Fisher? (unconfirmed)
I just heard on comcast sport tv, the deal is getting done. They mentioned one year deal, vet minimum salary.
Might not be a bad pickup for low dollars?

Re: Skins sign CB Fisher? (unconfirmed)
If that is the deal, this is a great pickup. Better than Rumph as the #4 for sure.

Re: Skins sign CB Fisher? (unconfirmed)
Agreed. As long as he is coming in at vet minimum this is an excellent signing, I also wish we were hearing about Mulitalo too, I think he would be a great pickup as well.

Re: Skins sign CB Fisher? (unconfirmed)
Any news on this?
redskins.com hasn't reported it. I'm thinking this was premature & that Fisher isn't signing w/us. Maybe there awaiting word on his physical to make it official. I only hope that if we do sign him, that it doesn't mean the end for Springs. |

Re: skins sign fisher(sp) (rumor) MERGED
It's called quality DEPTH. Something we have no clue about at any position on the whole team. Except RB.

Re: Skins sign CB Fisher? (unconfirmed)
What's good is that he was visiting here before, and they let him walk. I bet for ONCE he didn't get any other interest and is going to sign here for cheaper.

Re: Skins sign CB Fisher? (unconfirmed)
Fisher immediately becomes our fastest DB. He is blazing fast. Of course injuries are a concern, but he's 28 so he still has some mileage left, and he won't be a regular starter, so he'll be less likely to get hurt. No details on the deal yet, but I betcha he came pretty cheap, and I like the move for depth. Props to FO for continuing to show some discipline and restraint. Now we just need to bring in Ian Scott and Ed Mulitalo. I am pleased thus far with our offseason....

Re: Skins sign CB Fisher? (unconfirmed)
I remeber redskins.com talking about Springs as a safety nex year, and Springs saying he would if that s where he was needed. Maybe thats what they are still thinking

Re: skins sign fisher(sp) (rumor) MERGED
Fred Smoot can start in this league and Fisher has as far as I remember. And there is very little "if" when it concerns Springs's health, the guy's weak. I wish they could have gotten the Bly deal done. He's better anyway...
