For one game it felt like we were watching the defense of the past 2 years. Guys flying to the ball, guys playing with some heart and fire... man I really missed that! |

Re: 9-7 To The Playoffs?
It was nice to watch the defense and not worry about them getting shit on with every play. I heard on the radio on the way home that they were lining Holdman up behind Daniels and Washington behind Carter for some plays. Was this true? Because it looks like THAT might have helped the run defense.

"Can someone start a thread about the playoff implications of NYG v.Dallas this weekend? Who should we root for? Dallas is 1-3 in the division like us, NYG are 3-0 I think. If G-men win, they hold a crucial tiebreaker both in head to head w/dallas & in division record. We could then surpass Dallas' div. record if we beat philly & nyg. My heart is w/the G-men because I hate them less, but it may make sense for us to hope that the G-men continue their freefall & lose a wild card spot to us (Wishful thinking that we'll run the table of course)." So you've answered the question, but you're assuming Dallas will win the division. That looks like the way it should pan out. The G-men could still win it & we could have the tiebreaker over Dallas for a wildcard as well. That would mean they would have to go 2-3 to finish, unlikely at this point. They have: at NYG NO at ATl Philly Detroit |

Re: 9-7 To The Playoffs?
Making the playoffs, is not realistic. Finishing strong, is within reach. It took Gibbs too long to realize the team was going nowhere with Mark Brunell. I really would have liked to have seen how Jason Campbell would have performed with a healthy Portis and Moss. Next year.

I just want Tomy Romo to start looking like shit so people can take their mouths off his shaft.

Re: 9-7 To The Playoffs?
Win six games (Five now). Then, and only then, see how the cards played out.
Finish strong. See who wants to play and come back next year (that includes coaches!). Yesterday was a good solid game - had they played that way all year we would have 3 more wins right now (Minnesota, Tennesse and T-Bay). Of course, we would also still have Brunnell as our QB - tough to say which is the bigger benefit at this point.

Re: 9-7 To The Playoffs?
Seriously. I know he's playing well but the media really needs to back up off his jock. Let's hope the Giants can complicate things next week.

Re: 9-7 To The Playoffs?
I mean he's the top rated passer in the NFL, and even Peyton Manning doesn't get blown that hard.

Re: 9-7 To The Playoffs?
8-8 would be a dream ending at this point. And yes, Romo is lucky to have a very good defense that gives him multiple chances to score, with the turnovers created.
And he is good, but come on, the next Troy Aikman? Atleast wait a season or two before you crown his ass.

Re: 9-7 To The Playoffs?
I think defenses are going to play him a little differently now that they have 3 games of film to study. Like my dad said, he could have been a diamond in the rough but Parcells must have known something about his ability so as to keep him on the bench for so long.

Re: 9-7 To The Playoffs?
Priorities of what we should be focused on:
-Next week's game -Continuation of Campbell's development -Consistency on defense -Moss getting healthy -Playoffs That being said, peeking at our schedule @ New Orleans in 3 weeks is the only game on our schedule we shouldn't be favored in. GO SKINS! :cheeky-sm

Re: 9-7 To The Playoffs?
Just saying we are at 1000-1 odds on winning the super bowl. Eh- eh, looks like a deal to me. I might just drop 5 bucks on it.
500-1 on the NFC championship. Might be the biggest wast of 5 dollars ever but that is OK. |

Re: 9-7 To The Playoffs?
Whatever. Drop 10 on it and then enjoy yourself a nice PS3 for Christmas.

Re: 9-7 To The Playoffs?
Whoaaaaaaaaa!!! Let's win a couple in a row before we even start thinking about it. The D's got to keep it up and the offense needs more points. Good win though.

Re: 9-7 To The Playoffs?
What are the playoff odds for us? I might want to drop 10ish on that.
