Re: Dazed And Confused!
Isn't it the coaches fault for dishing away solid players for new sexy players and having that fail, thus forcing remaining players to get used to someone elses playstyle, new faces, new everything. This team is a mess and squarly in the lap of Joe Gibbs. He's no longer immune to the criticism from fans. I like to give my coaches 3 years to get things straight. 2/3 losing seasons isn't so hot, pair that with one improbable run to the playoffs and some really exciting games.
I cant comment on the Beathard comments, I wasn't really aware of football at that point, but I think many of the comments Offiss makes here have merit. Can anyone really argue that Gibbs has done a good job with talent evaluations and draft picks?

As for applying for a job? It would be a waste of time, they don't have enough football intelligence to make that hire!!!!!! Quote:

Ryan Leaf....Ryan Leaf....Ryan Leaf....
To give all the credit for the Redskins' success to Beathard and none to Gibbs is remarkably ignorant.

Remember you are the one who stated you really are looking forward to visiting greece in the fire Saunders and Williams thread. There can be no more latent homosexuality than the undying defense for Gibbs and Brunell. |

Unless you're talking about the undying defense for Beathard and Ramsey.

Re: Dazed And Confused!
I will admit upfront that I was on business travel and totally missed the Philly game on Sunday. However poorly the Redskins apparantly played on Sunday it has to be better than the source DRIVEL of this thread.
It is bad enough to lose to Philly, but is all this salt-in-the-wound emotional rhetoric really necessary. I just don't buy into the misery loves company philosophy when it applies to an entertainment. |

Re: Dazed And Confused!
I woud argue vehemently that this is not the best offense on paper he has ever had. I would say our our struggles on the o-line are a function of talent and age. Let's be honest here, Samuels isn't the player we'd like him to be, Jansen has started showing age, Dockery is a serviceable Guard at most, same with Rabach, and Thomas is either showing his age or isn't totally back from the injury last year. So all in all our line is average. Our backs are solid to great. Our WRs are good. Our QB situation is obviously a weakness. The teams Gibbs had in the 80's had NO holes on offense. They were pro bowl accross the board on o-line and were great at WR. Sollid at RB and good at QB. This offense is average in talent compared to those.

Re: Dazed And Confused!
Gibbs is a terrible personnel guy and Snyder would rather hire a puppet to be GM than hire somebody good.

Re: Dazed And Confused!
Hey to call out BB on one pick is really not fair, we all know he wanted Manning but had to settle for Leaf, that is an awfully tough judgement on him, did he get it wrong? Absolutly! But the NFL was almost split about which player Leaf or Manning would be better, nobody is perfect, but BB has been right far far greater than he's been wrong, can that be said about Gibbs as a personel man?

Re: Dazed And Confused!
This thread cracks me up. The only time Offiss ever starts a new thread its to bash Gibbs, but when we win he's no where to be found. He just loves to piss on Gibbs. And he has this huge infatuation with Ramsey.
