Troy Vincent

Breaking News from Redskins Park says Troy Vincent has been named Special Teams player of the week! Congrats to Troy. I am liking this guys presence more and more and I think he could turn the defense around single handedly.

Re: Troy Vincent

I also really loved what Tony said about him. Saying that he was the guy who got some enthusiasm back in the defense.

Also, check your PMs. I need a favor if you don't mind.

Re: Troy Vincent

Troy's greatest contribution to this team is yet to come: settling down ST and providing on-field guidance and reliability for him to make the plays we know he can make. Sean needs a leader/role model and Troy can definitely fill that role.

Re: Troy Vincent

It's funny that the best acquisition thus far this season appears to be one NOT in the offseason. I love it.

Re: Troy Vincent

He was also one that we picked up off the streat becuase he got let go. Maybe he knows how lucky he is and instead of thinking about $$$$ signs he just wants to contribute to the T E A M. Some of our players could learn a lot from that kind of attitude.

Re: Troy Vincent

what a beautiful photo!
there is something to be said for being released- he's hungry, pride's hurt, and out to prove something- esp. against philly (who didnt' want to pay up- i presume).

i love the photo, but disagree with the hungry part. vincent has been in this league 15 years, has made his money, and played on some pretty good teams. i think his decision to play for the skins was a family one. has a house nearby , and likes the area.

Re: Troy Vincent

true, but even as a rich vet (esp one as dominating as he used to be) your pride has to be hurt a bit...its just human nature. nobody wants to feel unwanted. if this werent' true, i don't think he'd still play (given his tenure and monetary situation).

anytime your told your not needed anymore, your going to be hungry to play that team that feels they dont need your services. i don't care what he says about he isn't mad at philly, he still wants to show philly he can play, also buffalo if we were to play them

Re: Troy Vincent

One big play in one game does not make a super star.

Glad to see him make a difference but the jury is still out.

Everyone will know in another 4 weeks how good he really is.
