Re: Now it makes sense...
A playmate actually married Jeff Garcia; all playmates moved down a peg or two in my mind after that.

Re: Now it makes sense...
I went on to the skins website but couldn't get anything to play. Has anyone else had this problem? I'ld love to see the Archuletta interview.
In general Phil Collins to get you pumped up!!!!! What the #@$%$ is that? PS. - In the Air Tonight is a cool song though. DJ |

Re: Now it makes sense...
For all those complaining about Arhuleta I believe he leads the team in tackles. Why are people hating on him. Because of the money?
The D is horrendous at the cornerback spot. How about some complaining about Carlos Rodgers, without Springs he's useless. How about some complaing that the Defense can't get a turnover when it's handed to them in the breadbasket like Sunday afternoon when an interception was dropped. |

Re: Now it makes sense...
I think the issue is that one reason he has a lot of tackles is that he's there too late. Meaning that if he were better in pass coverage he could help prevent completions and thus not need to make the tackle. If that makes sense

I do think AA has been decent, but likes most people, I don't think he's any better than Ryan Clark. Hopefully when Springs returns AA can focus on being a run stopper rather than a coverage guy.

Re: Now it makes sense...
Right now I would think Clark is better than he is. I guess when Springs comes back and if somehow the Skins can muster up a pass rush then things may get better for Archuletta. We'll just have to wait and see.

But, since Springs has been out and Rogers hasn't shown any improvement Williams hasn't been able to use AA the way he wanted to and his poor coverage skills have been severly exposed. I feel like it's such a theme for the Skins of late: Right Place/Player, but Wrong Time.

Re: Now it makes sense...
because of the cap, money paid to non-producers is a valid reason for hate, since they impair the team's ability to improve in other areas.
holdman and archuleta rack up tackles, but they're late tackles. it's like arguing that david carr is the best QB in the league since he has/had the highest QB rating (even though he only plays well in garbage time). it's not just arch though. carter's underperformed, injuries at DT and DB have really hurt, and none of our CBs look like they're any good right now. our offense hasn't been consistant enough to keep them off the field, and GW's been calling an awful lot of prevent which i'm not sure who it's really helping. there's blame for the FO for overpaying and not ensuring depth was taken care of (NO ONE should have to bring in 9+ players at the last second for needs that were known dating back to the end of last season). but if i have to vote, i'd say archuleta isn't living up to his contract or doing what was expected of him to help us win games. maybe prioleau's injury prevented him from being used solely as a quasi-linebacker, but injuries happen and the remaining starters and depth has dealt with them very very poorly. |

On the other hand, I think the problems on offense would improve greatly if one player were benched - that being Brunell. |

On Cold Pizza just now Darnell Dockett said he listens to Phil Collins to get pumped up before a game, said Ray Lewis likes to as well
"If you're a true baller, nothing gets you pumped up like 'In the Air Tonight'"
