Re: Joe Gibbs becoming like Mary Schottemhiemer
I think you may be right. i have watched Joe Gibbs for years and he is a master at learning from his mistakes. He also will adjust and change his game plan to take advantage of his teams strengths

Re: Joe Gibbs becoming like Mary Schottemhiemer
Who's Mary Schottemheimer, and why is Gibbs becoming like her? He's not getting a sex change operation, is he?
All that aside, if this is the case, that the game is passing Gibbs by, then there are plenty of other coaches in the same boat, or never had a grasp of the game in the first place (insert Spurrier jokes here). Gibbs hovering at .500 is fine, as that includes a 10-6 playoff appearance last year. Insert another new offensive scheme, and it'll take a while for the players to adjust. Injuries on defense have been crucial to their play as well. 19-20 means 13-10 since after the first season. Gibbs is producing, and will continue to do so once the personnel starts to click like clock work.

Marty isn't that bad of a coach to be compared with, Gibbs could stand on the side line lokking for his brain all game like Art Shell.

Yeah, it passed him by, but he still can't find his brain. Have you seen it?

Re: Joe Gibbs becoming like Mary Schottemhiemer
I think R. Moss sold it for the right to be on highlight reels without actually doing
anything....

Re: Joe Gibbs becoming like Mary Schottemhiemer
I'm not sure the game has passed art shell by. i really believe if AL Davis gives shell a couple of seasons to fix up the mess that shell inherited, the raiders will improve

Re: Joe Gibbs becoming like Mary Schottemhiemer
FYI the offensive coordinator in oakland has been away from the game about 10 years.

Re: Joe Gibbs becoming like Mary Schottemhiemer
I don't like this game plan. It looks like Marty ball again. I know, we are not getting blown out, and our defense is playing well. I still think we need to be proactive on offense and play to win.

Re: Joe Gibbs becoming like Mary Schottemhiemer
You can thank Al Saunders for getting cute with his play calling. The best thing we CAN be doing is going back to Joe Gibbs offense.

Yeah, but no more short passes or runs on third and long.
