A pleasant surprise

I know we've mentioned this before, but I have been very impressed with Derrick Frost so far this year. No bad shanks, and he is really helping us on the field position battle. Here are the stats for top-5 punters in NFL (let's hope this copy-and-paste looks normal):

NameTeamG Punt Yds Avg In20 In10 TB Long Mat McBriarDAL2 12 609 50.8 2 0 2 62 Derrick FrostWAS3 15 740 49.3 2 1 1 60 Shane LechlerOAK2 13 634 48.8 5 2 3 61 Kyle LarsonCIN3 14 672 48.0 3 1 4 67 Brad MaynardCHI3 10 474 47.4 5 1 0 52

2nd-best avg in NFL. Not to shabby, let's hope he keeps it up.

of course the copy-and-paste didn't work, so here's the link:

Re: A pleasant surprise

He has definitely performed very well, but I always feel starnge when I'm saying how good the punter is.

Re: A pleasant surprise

consistancy is his problem, so i've got to see him do it a couple more games in a row.

he did very well versus the texans though.

Re: A pleasant surprise

Good stat.

But less 3 an out would be a better stat!

He's actually kicking the bottom of the ball instead of it's side?

Re: A pleasant surprise

I think both kickers are doing a great job so far. I think it was a good move to let Hall take over the kick-offs. The oppositions starting field position was too good in those first two games.
