On opening day in the new Gibbs era, history suggests that the Redskins will pull out an ugly, field goal-filled win.

Hey why not? He got the Iggles to a Super Bowl. Then imploded the team the following year.

One season for one game. Seems like a good trade for a one game improvement over the prior year, when the NFC Rip Van Winkle Division let the Iggles run wild and they still couldn't get 'er done.

Can't wait until Jerry Jones starts trying to refuse charges for TO's contract on his VISA check card.

Either outcome (the Saunders shootout or the Gibbs grind-it-out) is a good one, in its own way. With the shootout we get some confidence, some analysts get to eat crow, and we get to talk smack. With the grind-it-out, more teams will continue to underestimate and look past us, and we'll be better positioned to sneak off with the division title.

So yeah, it's a 20-17 win.

No losing at FedEx this season. That's the goal.

Keep "misunderestimating" us. That's fine by me. But no doubt it's a tough division. And I agree that the team to worry about is Philly.

Re: Afternoon Blitz Predictions:

no it does it has nothing to do home field in the playoff.

First is record
then common opponents
then strength of schedule

it doesn't matter how many home games you've won

Whatever, you are not listening. Go back to Dallas and TO and get ready.
