Re: SI's 10 Most Feared Players
Man, I swear, the Skins catch more hell from the NFL and their hoes (sport media and John Madden) than anyone else. Sean Taylor has to be one of the most terrifying safetys that graced the field... and safeties generally aren't terrifying. I bet if Sean Taylor had a star on his helmet it would have been a different story...

Re: SI's 10 Most Feared Players
A joke. Embarrassing for the writer and the rag that he works for. More than half the list has NO REASON AT ALL to be on there, and the rest are argueable.
When I saw this thread and saw from the post that Sean Taylor didn't make the list, I figured it was typical of S.I. to slight him and the skins, but I figured the 10 listed would be cool to read and get me fired up for the season. Instead I see a list of 10 that includes a guy who may only be on the field 3-4 plays a game. One of the 10 most feared players in the NFL is a special teamer? ****Jason Short has been in the league 2 seasons...and has appeared in 7 games out of 32.**** That right there makes the list lack any respectability. He became that feared while only playing in 3.5 games a year? I gotta see some video of how he did it....

Re: SI's 10 Most Feared Players
I am sorry, my information may be a bit off. I said Jason Short only played in 7 of 32 games in the 2 seasons he's been in the NFL, but I could be wrong. The information I saw was only for stats, and since he posted no stats for those 25 games I thought it was saying he didn't dress...but it meant he didn't do anything of consequence.
Well, he didn't do anything other than scare the effin crap outta the other team just by being there...

Re: SI's 10 Most Feared Players
If Lorenzo Neal and Boldin make that list then Clinton Portis has to most definitely make that list. In fact, the same game that Sean Taylor blew up Neal, Portis flattened one of their linebackers on a blitz. I mean he laid the guy completely out for like a few seconds. Was that Donnie Edwards?
Anyway, someone initimated that Sean Taylor was left on the list because he shuns the media or whatever. |

Re: SI's 10 Most Feared Players
I think that Sean has personally blown up at least 2-3 of those "most feared" players. At least I know he has Neal and Boldin.

Re: SI's 10 Most Feared Players
Jerry Porter is tough though. Who else would be able to return to the field just months after THEY WERE SHOT IN THE ASS?!?!

Re: SI's 10 Most Feared Players
Am I clinically insane or did a Philadelphia special teams player make it on the list over Sean Taylor. I really did not even know Jason Short existed before seeing his picture right there. What are they smoking over at SI????

Re: SI's 10 Most Feared Players
He used to beat up the writer in high school. He is still feared to this day.
