Re: Veteran QB to Replace Ramsey on Roster

forget about brooks.makes hall of fame plays for three quarters and then does something that not even a high school qback would do.makes too many bonehead plays.collins is probably the one, knows the offense and fairly cheap

Re: Veteran QB to Replace Ramsey on Roster

I see us signing someone along the lines of Ferrote, Fiedler, etc. and drafting a rookie for the practice squad. Given where this team is, if we go down to the 3rd QB, we need somebody who can step in and play at a (semi) professional level. I think this team in the upcoming year is looking to win big. Once we have Campbell fully ensconced as starter and a solid vet as number 2, THEN develop a young no. 3 guy.

According to the most recent Fox article, it looks like Detroit and the Jets may fight over Ramsey.

This offseason is turning out to be great! The only thing that could derail it would be Taylor going to jail and I personally don't see that happening.

Well hopefully not in this city. There #1 back is Deuce. Joe Horn a #2 ?????

Lets just say the Redskins would not benefit from a player that openly critical of the team when it is facing adversity. Especially from a QB. I would rather have a player such as Ramsey who takes the high road and acts like a proffesional. This is why you can't entertain offers for Dante C to.

i agree. they havent even found a gun and if they do, theres no way they can prove it was at the scene.

I'm not surprised to see Martz go after him. He also comes from the Air Coryell system and must think Ramsey will have less of a learning curve than Harrington. I would much rather see Patrick in Detroit than New York, mainly because all things New York sports make me sick.

Ramsey would feel right at home in a Martz offense.

Wide open attack, little protection, QB takes a beating... sound familiar?

He won't be cheap, but I really think he'd be worth the price.

that's what i said about 2 months ago. the rams were always known for throwing deep and taking sack after sack. ramsey got plenty of experience doing that in both college and semi-pro.
