Hahaha!

This theard is funny to me considering my nickname.

Well in my part, I did jump on the bandwagon in 1991 when I first learned the game.
I've been on the bandwagon ever since!

By the way... I have a wallpaper I created and wanted to post it but I dont' know a good place to post it ... anyone have any suggestions ?!

Re: -----------Fake Redskins fans-------------

I am new to the site today but can tell you with certainty that we have not won since January 26th 1992. I go all the way back to 1970 and remember as an 11 year old losing to Miami but thanking god for Mike Bass' interception return. Do I pass the "bandwagon" test?

I have been in NJ since moving from Roanoke Va 19 years ago and am only guaranteed 4 games as I get both Philly and NY Fox broadcasts....but yet am still a die hard fan. So is my 12 yearold son who is so psyched to see his first playoff game. Unfortunately his mother (still my wife believe it or not) and sister are Giants fans. I tell them they have it made and there is no fan like a fan who only gets a few games a year and yet still follows their team.

Great site! You all will be hearing more from LBrown43.

Re: -----------Fake Redskins fans-------------

Look everyone let me clear the air a little bit cause Im takin alot of heat for this thread. First I wanna apologize to skinsbabe, enjoy the game represent all of us that cant make the game, but if I was there you'd know it was me cause I'd be the cussin and yellin. But back to business. Everyone had good points on this one but that wasnt my intention to call anyone out on their love of the Skins. My intention was to point out the fact that I ran into fake fans and was interested in hearing some funny stories about some misinformed wagon jumpers any of you encountered. Thanks for all the attention tho, thanks for lettiing me know there are some other passionate Skins fans like myself. HAIL TO THE REDSKINS------------FOREVER

Yes, the bandwagon fans tend to come out of the woodwork when a team is winning. Just look at the Patriots now and the Cowboys in the 90s. BTW, where are all the San Fancisco 49er fans.

The skins have one of the largest fan bases in the league and they are very loyal, but they too have bandwagon fans.

Re: -----------Fake Redskins fans-------------

Dude that's not the question the question to ask is do you know their original name?

It's the Boston Braves in 1933, playing at which was changed to the Boston Redskins the following year. They moved to DC in 1937.

Re: -----------Fake Redskins fans-------------

All teams get band wagon fans as soon as they are succesful. It is just something winning teams have to deal with. As long as they don't try to pretend they are hardcore fans I don't mind them. Most people I know who are that way come to me for info about team I feel like Yoda training young Jedi. We should try to turn them in to Die hards by welcoming them and teaching them about the team. Leaving them uninformed will make people who talk to them have low opinions of real Skins fans. Churchs always try to recruite people so should we. Just my opinion but if you ask my girl she will tell you I am always right:yeahright

I don't know... here in Pennsylvania, I've not been seeing too much burgundy and gold... Just a lot of pissed off eagles fans. And that makes me happy...
