And we all had Buffalo scheduled as a loss well before game 1. Unless we won the 1st 2 games by 20ish points, nothing was changing that. We beat Buffalo, we're sitting pretty again. We lose, Falcons becomes about as much of a code red game as there can be in week 4.

I'm usually standing there after loss telling everybody how Mason Foster actually had a good game... But this D is repeatingly letting us down and I've kinda had a enough. That's the thing, I think individually some guys played well (CY and Sweat made plays, Allen and Payne too, but the whole DL didn't produce enough. WJ3 had some nice break ups too, but the secondary as a whole sucked ass etc...) And I'm excited about Heinicke. Not checking out, I'll watch every snap. Heck I might even watch the All 22 of this one... But until they can play 8 consecutive quarters of solid defensive football, my expectations for this season sit just underneath the toilets of the 4th basement of your local supermarket parking lot. Re: Giants postgame
We deserved to get this win just because of that horrible horrible spot by the refs and then replay doesn’t overturn it! Are you fucking kidding me!? That probably will not even been mentioned again by anyone because we ended up getting a touchdown anyway but That was some major bullshit.
Defense is leaking worse than the Titanic. Chase looks lost, tackling runners that don’t have the ball,he’s being blocked by one guy with no problems, and he looks to have one move to rush the qb, hoping his quickness running around the outside corner will get him to the quarterback and it’s not. Why didn’t Heineke didn’t have any called runs like Jones did,Giants screwed up by not going that more in the second half because it look like it would’ve been available to them all night long.Maybe Turner deserves the benefit of the doubt because we already lost Fitz and he didn’t want Heiney running but damn

Re: Giants postgame
I'd like to say shame on me for not recognizing a easy 1st ballot HOFer, but Joe Thomas has absolutely dominated the after career lifestyle too. Man, good for him.

Re: Giants postgame
For all the people that are down after the W:
How many times did we see other teams get lucky calls? How many times did we see other teams catch lucky breaks? How many times it was our team losing on a last minute FG? Way too many, and I'm glad lady luck was on our side tonight. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

And for me no way that's a hold. Keeps WJ3 in front of him, hands inside, driving him forward. Would be different if William was making an obvious effort to go for the tackle and being restricted. But if that's a hold you can flag 100% of running plays.

Re: Giants postgame
BIG W. I don't care how, don't care if it was ugly. This is exactly the type of game that can put a team on a roll (WFT), and the type of game that can send a team spiraling (NYG).
Call it lucky if you want to. Don't enjoy it if you don't want to. Tell us all how terrible this team is despite the win, and how they'll be lucky to win another game...blah, blah, blah... The sky is still falling on some of you, but in reality this team is 1-1, with a 4 point loss to one of the best AFC teams, and undefeated in the division. That is what matters. On to Buffalo. Glad they have a couple extra days to prepare. |

Re: Giants postgame
OMFG I didn’t see the holding call and left right after the first kick. What a surprise!

The bolded part was hilarious. Mason Foster makes Bostic look amazing in pass coverage. I know you won't give up, and the defense hasn't shown anything to give us optimism. So they have earned the criticism, you, or anyone else gives them. But I'm drunk and we won, lol. We're amazing!!!

Re: Giants postgame
When was the last time we saw a 2 play 75 yd touchdown drive?
When was the last time we lost the time of possession battle, AND we lost the turnover battle, but won the game. A game winning scoring drive with 2 minutes left? Last time we beat the NYG? Take away the one long run by Jones and the one long run by Barkley, and it's only 76 yards rushing. Both teams had 80 yards in penalties (81 for NYG), and both had penalties at inopportunistic times. Offensive line was much better tonight. Some things to clean up for sure, but it's definitely not all doom & gloom. I'd rather be 1-1 than 2-0. |

Re: Giants postgame
I just watched this on a delay - holy shit. A game no one wanted to win, but the Giants wanted it less.
Game balls to Heinike, McLaurin (he’s freaking incredible), and Jonathan Allen. I’d say Hopkins but if you cause me to start to have a heart attack, I’ll don’t feel right about you getting a game ball. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
