Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason
Chris Simms turning heads out there ranking Zach Wilson ahead of Lawrence, plus putting Mac Jones AND Kellen Mond ahead of Fields and Lance. He's been right in the last 3 years a lot more than he's been wrong...should be interesting.

Mond plays a lot like Kaepernick did. Great athlete, nice arm but isn’t the most accurate. He does have upside tho and I wouldn’t mind grabbing him

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason
I’ve been saying recently that I’m higher on Jones than Fields so I’m not surprised. Something just doesn’t sit well with me about Fields. I think he’s going to be with his drafting team for his rookie contract only like a lot of other highly touted QB prospects.

Disagree on Lawrence.
I'm with him on Fields for sure. I don't trust his arm strength and I really don't think he's that great of an athlete. I like Mond and Trask more than most. I'd have them 4th and 3rd respectively. Lawrence Wilson Trask Mond Jones Lance Fields for me.

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason
QB Rankings always crack me up regarding the draft.. Its a crap shoot and for most of these guys it all depends on schemes

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason
I must admit, I do find myself wondering why more college's don't run pro style offensive schemes. Surely it would serve them and their players to be more NFL ready than other programmes?

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason
I guess it comes down to why would a college coach care about getting a guy ready for the pros? How does it help him win his conference? Plus in college they just don't have the time with limited practice schedules to install complicated offenses.

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason
This was actually one of the things against Lawrence by Simms...he said due to Clemson's talent, their offense was very basic...very few reads for the QB...Ohio State the same way. However, didn't seem to hurt Watson.

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason
It seems to me that accuracy is extremely important for an NFL QB. I don't like the idea of drafting an athletic QB who can't throw straight.

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason
Per NFL Update @MySportsUpdafe
“BREAKING: #Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has retired from the NFL after an amazing 16 year career. Across 8 different teams, the one known as “Fitzmagic” has finished playing at the professional level” This is why social media sucks. So much fake information out there.

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason
That record is already out of reach for our lifetimes. Think about the best qb's in the game today that still have enough of a career left to sniff 7, your Mahomes/Allens/Watsons (not including Wilson and Rodgers because they have one title each and I don't see them winning 6 titles in under a decade). Mahomes just lost and the other two haven't even sniffed a title game. It's unrealistic to think any of them could even get closer than 3-4 titles because Brady is the outlier in all of NFL history. What qb has the most rings behind Brady? It's Montana/Bradshaw with 4 each. I could write a short story on this but let's wrap it up. Brady is one title away from doubling up on the next closest guy in the entire 80 year history of the league. He's untouchable.

Re: Around the NFL: NFL Offseason
They don't view themselves as farm leagues for NFL, LOL. They have a new starting QB every 3-4 years. You dumb down the system so it can be quickly and easily learned and mastered rapidly. Without talent over the field, as in NFL, also easier to exploit matchups which spread etc. makes way easier.
