All he had to do was to tell them to fix it and then fly off to the Bahamas.

Right about now, his butler is probably delivering him his first Bahama Mamma of the day to drink on the beach. No problem, mon!

Well if he’s decided Jay is staying, he certainly didn’t communicate that to him before he left. As of his press conference on Monday, jay had not spoken with dan and was twisting in the wind. That’s a pretty big dick move in my opinion.

Just because no one on the Redskins got fired on block Monday, you are mistaken. Changes are coming

If Allen and Gruden aren't replaced, it will be all for naught. Firing assistant coaches and keeping the real culprits (GM and HC) never works.

Like every other Redskins fan, I agree with you on Allen, but I’m not remotely excited about any of the HC candidates on the open market. For this year, atleast, it makes sense to stick with Jay unless/until some other candidate emerged.

I'm on same page with you - I believe the FO must improve before getting a new head coach. Any coach will have difficult time achieving winning seasons with current FO.

I think Dan himself doesn't know what he wants to do yet. He's probably mulling it over. I'm sure he's already recognizing that if he fires either Allen or Gruden then he'll have to replace them, and he doesn't have a damn clue how to go about choosing the right successor. So he'll eventually stick with them.

If we get a new defensive coordinator I'll still view that as a step in the right direction, even if Allen remains in place.

What are the chances Dan knows he needs to make a change and get rid of Allen (and possibly Gruden), but doesn’t know WHAT that change will be yet? What if he left for the Bahamas specifically to get away from Allen so he can evaluate his options (and make phone calls) to potential replacements without the Prince of Darkness looking over his shoulder? The Bahamas would be a nice place (removed from reporters) to secretly meet with a potential franchise savior.

I know this is all unlikely, but i have to believe there will be some significant change. Regardless of what Snyder thinks, he must by now realize how horribly he’s underestimated how bad the situation is. He must know he has to do some kind of major shakeup if he wants to get the fans interested again.

Re: Time to clean house 1.0.

I'm kind of erring on the side of keeping Gruden for one more season, putting Kyle Smith in charge and seeing what happens. What coach would want to come here giving the state that the organization is in? At least if they feel there's a more, stable, person as GM running football operations, then if you have to can Gruden next year, then you feel like you have some guys in the front office that are well respected.

We all know Snyder isn't selling the team.

Re: Time to clean house 1.0.

If that final game in our stadium where we were SHUT OUT, where shit-bird Eagles fans outnumbered Redskins fans TWO to ONE, where our offense couldn't hear the QB call signals in our own stadium, and where Redskins fans were taunted by shit-bird Eagles fans on their way out of our own stadium wasn't humiliating enough to make Snyder want to clean house, then someone should check his sorry ass for a pulse.

Two to one? It was much worse than that brother

Re: Time to clean house 1.0.

That last game was as embarrassing as it gets for any organization. The fact that you had nobody but eagles fans show up to a HOME GAME is an all time low.

There was video of them bullying and scaring Redskins fans out of their own parking lot

Re: Time to clean house 1.0.

Not sure if he’s stating the obvious regarding Snyder’s frustration or if he has any insider knowledge, but found this tweet from Chris Russell interesting:

Quote:
As I said on @1067theFan yesterday & I believe it is still true today - I like that Dan Snyder hasn't fired anybody (yet) to allow his emotions & anger to calm down. He's frustrated as all hell (as he should be) but the right thing to do is to think hard before you do something.
