Re: Trade Deadline Moves
Well the deadline is upon us. Does anybody see the Skins making a move for anybody?
I’ve still got my fingers crossed we can pick up Golden Tate from the Lions for maybe a 4th round pick. He can catch the short throws that Smith loves and can make something happen. 44 catches for 517 yards and 3 TDs on the year. Which is more than 1/3 of the total yards we have through the air so far. And most importantly. He stays healthy. |

I don't know about trading for someone who you could get if you want this offseason...combine that with value in the slot...meh. Id like to see someone get separation from the outside. Id pass. WR salary dump for an extremely late pick I wouldn't be opposed to... With Dunbar still in doubt and if we could pry Gareon Conley away for a 4th...Id like it. Young guy, let Torian Gray get his hands on him, we could have a gem. Put him in the mix of young CB would be a win. |

Re: Trade Deadline Moves
Right now I don't think a new WR would help us all that much. To me the rate limiting factor in the passing game is Alex Smith's newness to the offense. He's not anticipating breaks in routes, he's double clutching, delivering late. He's waiting to see guys come open before he throws it. Bringing a new WR in won't change that. Smith just has to get more comfortable and throw it with some anticipation.
Not that our current crop of WRs are world beaters, but Jordan Reed's numbers are down too, a sign that Smith isn't as in sync with him as Cousins was. Which you'd expect, by the way. Smith is new to us. I think we can expect it to get better as they work together. I certainly wouldn't do anything that would layer on significant salary this year at the WR spot.

If we were to make a move I'd rather go for a CB or pass rusher. |

Re: Trade Deadline Moves
Jamie Collins LB Browns who people used to rave about would be an intriguing choice for a low pick.

Re: Trade Deadline Moves
Would not mind P. Peterson even if he costs a 1st rounder.
Janoris Jenkins for something significantly less would be fine as well.

Re: Trade Deadline Moves
Agree on both. PP would make this team a significant SB threat if everyone stays healthy. The only real weakness we have on D is a playmaking CB, he's also a Return guy that can score from anywhere.

Re: Trade Deadline Moves
Helps keep 2 off of Hopkins too, still losing Fuller's speed hurts
