Re: Drafting a QB?
I think you need to draft a QB there is a reason Alex Smith has been run out of two towns.

Re: Drafting a QB?
There is NO way we draft a qb this year and have a mid rounder sit behind a 1st rounder again and put Alex right back into a similar situation he just got out of. We have Colt and way too many other needs to draft a QB this year now anyways.

2 to 3 years seems like a good timetable to draft a QB.

Re: Drafting a QB?
From what I have heard Josh Allen was highly inaccurate during senior bowl practices. If you can't hit WRs when someone is not covering them and grossly missing the target that would be a big red flag to me.

Re: Drafting a QB?
The only QB i wanted was Baker, not just because of OU but because he's got all the tools, I bet he goes top 7 though and we cant trade up.

And a little because he's OU.

Re: Drafting a QB?
I would agree with you normally but this is a deep draft for QB's. You simply have to get someone in the 4th or 5th rounds. Maybe we trade down and get that 3rd rounder back. We have to draft a QB this year. We can find a future starter in the 3rd or 4th rounds.

I agree though, this could be a good class to find someone in a later round (Mike White?), but it's not dire at this point. If your guy is there in the 4th-5th, sure grab him, but if not there is no sensor in wasting a pick on a project that you don't see a lot of potential in. You can get his like that undrafted. Re: Drafting a QB?
He also hit on several big plays during the game. I think Allen may not ever be a high % passer. But he will be a big play type of guy and would need to be in the right offense.

Re: Drafting a QB?
A decent QB prospect always seems to slip in each draft. So, you never know - we might draft one this year. I say get the talent on board and then worry about the depth chart.

Re: Drafting a QB?
Draft a QB in the middle rounds. Options that I see: Mason Rudolph, Lamar Jackson, or Kyle Lauletta. All of these guys can possibly be taken outside of the first round.

Re: Drafting a QB?
I'd rather roll without a QB this draft, just add help for Smith
