Re: Falcons Gameday Thread
Just looked at some of the highlights. Looks like Aldrick Robinson is still hanging with Kyle. Dunbar got toasted a few times.

Re: Falcons Gameday Thread
Couple positives...both qb look good. I thought our starting d was getting after it. Both kickers were booming. Other individuals that stood out: Cravens, Robert Kelly showed burst and caught the ball out the backfield nice.
Negative...Ross and Vernon Davis dropped perfect throw deep balls; Davis dropped a td. Allowing a 101 td return was pathetic. Neither Matt jones nor Marshall could run the ball and the run blocking was pathetic. Long, Kory l and the backup for Trent got blown the fuck up. I saw both long and Kory l get turned inside and couldn't hold blocks for jones.

By the way, I know it's preseason, and I know you're there to work out the kinks, but FUCK JEFF TRIPLETT. Guy throws so many flags he even ruins shitty preseason football.

Re: Falcons Gameday Thread
Again, take nothing from preseason game number one except is our kicker hitting kicks and did anyone get injured. Because everyone else was bathing in vanilla and working out.

Re: Falcons Gameday Thread
Morgan Moses look a little rusty on pass protection.
First preseason game. Nothing glaring. Dunbar has ton of work to do to make it as a FS. Defensive line might be our biggest need and we need some reinforcements. Our offensive might become a pass happy scheme in order to win and I do not like the lack of balance. Our lack of a running game and our defensive line has to be fixed or this season will be a disappointment. Running the ball and stopping the run are football 101 in order to make it to the playoffs and beyond. Very important. I hope by regular season start these possible issues are non existent. |

Second, try saying something positive. It will help your general outlook on life. I'm not saying to blow sunshine up our asses, but there were surely positives and negatives to take from that game. All you did was rattle off the negatives. Cheer up, buttercup.

Re: Falcons Gameday Thread
On the positive side, I feel like I didn't see many missed tackles... I saw coverage mistakes, second and third string DBs getting beaten, that happens, you'd like to see a little more pressure up front... But I don't remember any missed tackles by a starter, and it's been a serious matter these last years, really killing us.
