Re: Who Do You Want to Be The Head Coach?

Mike Munchak meeting with Tennessee Titans CEO - NFL.com

For the Gregg Williams fans:

One huge, pressing question left for Munchak: Will he listen to suggestions about staff changes? The status of Gregg Williams is one of the big issues. Internally, there is some belief that Williams, not Jerry Gray, should be defensive coordinator. Williams could earn a promotion. The staff has been kept in the dark about their status.

Really too bad -- I would have loved to see this. You know he would get our D playing better ball, and he's a serious motivator. Would have all kinds of cred with players and likely be able to get very strong assistants. Sigh.
Would no be a good choice, Skins need a HUNGRY coach who may see this as his only shot at as a HC.

I know. And Allen also lied and said no one from redskins had talked to him.

It's all academic if he wants to stay in broadcasting, but do you really think Cowher wouldn't be hungry to build a winner? The guy is as intense as they come. Don't you think he would want to be successful where Shottenheimer, Shannahan (and even to a degree, Gibbs II) were not? No way he comes here (or anywhere) to collect a paycheck. I don't think that's the right measure of the man. Again, all academic, it would appear.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the Redskins are flying under the radar while they are putting together a deal for David Shaw or Chucky.
If what many others a suggesting is true, it won't be Danny making that decision, it will be Bruce Allen. I could see Allen choosing an unknown if he felt it was the right guy.

Sure, Will. Dan Snyder bought the Redskins so Bruce Allen could select the Head Coach. By the way, I've got a bridge I'd like to sell you.

I'm not even saying that it's true, but a lot of people on here believe that. I'm trying to believe Danny is hands off, but we'll see.

The more I read about James Franklin, the more and more I like him. He might not be ready just yet (I think he is) but man would I love to give him a chance, he's no Spurrier.

Did Cowher lie also yesterday when he said the same EXACT thing?
