I'll go out and say that Harbaugh got out coached. But not by Fox. Manning out coached him on the field.

That was a amazing way to open the season last night. Such a treat watching Peyton play, and to tie history with 7 TDs was just icing on the cake.

Ravens just got outplayed. They simply could not cover or tackle. Also have to question the Ravens throwing so many passes. Gotta give Rice and Pierce more carries.

Did anyone notice that Manning just doesn't have a lot of zip on his passes? Obviously he played a ridiculous game and was pin point accurate, but that might be a factor when the weather changes.

denver is loaded but also Baltimore just isn't as good obviously. I'd still say Denver will end up around 13-3

Re: Around the NFL-Week 1

Manning is one of the greatest to ever play. Sucks that his career is probably ending within the next couple of years.

I thought the list of QBs that threw 7td's a game was interesting because there wasn't anyone that automatically stood out. I actually had to look up a couple of them because I had never heard their names.

Broncos offense this year might be one of the best offenses ever if their Oline can keep it together and provide a run game.

He never had a fantastic arm, it is all about anticipation with him and obviously reading the defense and probably being the smartest quarterback outside of Unitas to ever play.

I think the Ravens wanted to run the ball more and they did in the first half but then the Broncos broke the game wide open forcing the Ravens to pass a lot more than they felt comfortable doing.

I also never remember the Ravens getting blown out like that.

The Broncos threw across the middle like it was no big thing.

Boy, Ed Reed must be sorely missed.

I wonder how much Belichick is going to run up the score on Buffalo to try to steal the spotlight from Manning.

Patriots might lose to Buffalo, they always tend to start out slow and then win a string of regular season games in a row before losing in the championship game or Super Bowl.

Peyton has TWO games with 6 TD passes too. G.O.A.T.

7 TD passes in single game:

Y.A. Tittle
Joe Kapp
George Blanda
Sid Luckman
Adrian Burk

Only one I've never heard of was Kapp. TWO of those 7 TD games were against the Skins.

I still think the Ravens are a good team with a good defense. They were just second guessing themselves. They thought they knew peytons plays from Stokely, Dallas Clark, and Jim Caldwell, but Peyton, being the great QB he is, changed the signals or made adjustments to the routes.

The Ravens defense was doing ok until like you said the offense started getting hurt (losing Jacoby Jones didn't help because he was getting open) with Michael Oher hurting his leg and a rookie going out there against a good denver defense. Then they started having too many 3 and outs and all the momentum went to Denvers offense and the Ravens just got gased and tired. I still think Baltimore is a play off team, but last night was a beat down and wake up call to that team. They're a very well run franchise. They will adjust.
